Abandoned railways in North America. I can't speak for the majority, but where I've been in Canada, they've either been converted to multi-use trails or are being saved from that 'just in case'.

I torture myself with an insta account that features cheap European homes. Castles often pop up, which aren't 'cheap', but are more affordable than Canadian bungalows with significant land.
