We had two trolls on the OZ-user group thread. We all know who both of them are, they were not there for any valid purpose, only to cause strife, their jokes have been done thousands of times and are neither original nor funny.
Please report any posts you find inappropriate, we try, but can't read every post on every thread.
The chances of them changing their MO at this late stage seem minimal.

Actually it's the right thing to do. If they're not willing to shut the forum down for whatever reason (presumably that it drives traffic and some ad revenue), hiding one of the most bizarre places I've seen in recent years from idle viewers is probably very sensible.

Well, it isn't unfortunately. I don't know if any message boards are. It's depressing, one once-lively photographic site I belong to posted some stats a while ago; more members over 70 than under 40.

The reason is that (for some reason best known to tecchies) that it drags our google rankings down on the main site.

That's just as likely to be an unintentional screw up. Their "techies" have almost as much in regards skillz as their writers.
If it is intentional, then it can only be because the safa at Planet Sport has decided that public access to what gets posted on there is too much a liability (this was always an issue for them). In which case, as you say, the next
logical step is the bin.
