The Australians have started up a spite thread vs Scotland at the other place but there were no Scots on it. Only found out on that thread that all the Scots were over here.
Anyway, England are going to put 109pts on Tonga.

I have read on the Book of Face that the ABs have scored 89 tries this year. I also read that no side has even scored 100 tries in a calendar year.
Countdown begins

A record that has been held by the Springboks since Jake White was in charge of the team could be broken by the rampant All Blacks in Saturday’s Test against Italy.
The All Blacks will face Italy, Ireland and France during the rest of their overseas tour, after demolishing a second-string USA (104-14) and Wales (40-17) in successive Tests.
Ian Foster’s side also ran up big scores against a Tonga team missing most of their first-choice players (102-0) and beat Fiji twice: 60-13 and then 57-23.
The All Blacks were able to score 57 points against the Wallabies in a Bledisloe Cup Test at Eden Park this year.
This has put the New Zealanders within touching distance of a number of records.
Should the All Blacks score another 31 points in the final three Test matches of 2021, they could set a new record for most points in a calendar year.
That record is currently held by the Springboks when they scored 658 points in 17 Tests on the road to claiming the World Cup in 2007.
TOP 5 FOR MOST TEST POINTS SCORED IN A CALENDAR YEAR:
1. South Africa – 658 (2007)
2. England – 644 (2003)
3. New Zealand – 628 (2021*)
4. New Zealand – 602 (2003)
5. New Zealand – 594 (2007)

Same. Both were strong sides that won world cups, but I don't recall them having particularly high scoring attacks.

Checking the SA one. They lost a few matches, but
they tonked Namibia (100+), Samoa and England. Played England a lot (4 times) and beat them well some in the 50’s.
And ran up quite a few in the 30’s against other teams.
They played a whopping 17 games.
Lost 3, two to NZ and once to Aus.

From what I've seen of George Ford recently, I'll admit its largely highlights, he should at least be in the squad.

Supposedly Furbank comes in at 10, and Atkinson goes to the 23 shirt.

Oh blimey, missed that news.
Yes, awaiting second test...
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/59176625
England captain Owen Farrell has tested positive for Covid-19 on the eve of Saturday's Autumn Nations Series opener against Tonga.
Farrell will miss training on Friday but the Rugby Football Union (RFU) said he may still be able to play the match.
The 30-year-old is isolating and will take further tests on Friday.
On Thursday a member of England support staff tested positive but the RFU says "England are continuing preparations" for Saturday's match at Twickenham.
A statement added that all other players and staff had received negative results after a further round of testing on Thursday.
Farrell is due to start at fly-half, with Marcus Smith on the bench after he missed several training sessions this week with a minor leg injury.
Smith may now be called in to start and, with George Ford left out of the autumn squad, replacement George Furbank could offer back-up at 10.

Wallabies struggled against the All Blacks beat the Springbokke at home.
Scotland need to defend well and beat them up front
I always rate Quade Cooper. Much better kicker then O,Connor.

A Scottish back line with 5 Test Lions in it...
A Scottish XV that is as widely predicted with no evidence of the Toony Tombola...
That bench is very green though, against a bench with Skelton and Beale on it. The Scots better be well ahead after 60 minutes.

Surely the big factor is that 2003 and 7 are World Cup years with the additional number of matches? England played something like 17 tests in 2003
If NZ can better that in a “normal” year, that’s some achievement

The ABs have played 12 tests so far this year with 3 more to go, so 15 in total. If they break the record it'll be a good effort for sure.

Apart from a couple of games that is utter carnage. I stand corrected!
