Just before Ali went off, I was about to say his ball had so far been faster than usual. Then the wife came through and I missed what he was binned for.
Dupont took a quick tap and Price tackled him too early
And that was worth yellow?

No but there was about 48 penalties before that. Some of them deserved.

Berry had given about 87 penalties against Scotland before that and he kept warning about another one.
He also warned Jamie Ritchie about penalties in the 22 after Price was sent off so he was looking to bin anther Scottish player

What pisses me off, and I really don't like whingeing about referees, is that Darge was penalised for being too long in the ruck, and that was very debatable, but France got away with the same thing soon after.
It's fine if the refs are consistent for both sides.

It was since Sco were on a warning after racking up almost double figures in pens.

Even without the warning, not retreating 10 and making a tackle is often met with a yellow.

The lineout maul penalty against Ritchie was infuriating which led to a few other penalties.

Very difficult at that angle unless he was going for 20m gain.

You'll need to explain in what way it is superior please, to when you were denying that Scotland played heads up rugby scoring the opening try.
Note that much of the chat has migrated elsewhere because of the inane nature of some of your earlier contributions.

I think you and J2M have difficulty in understanding what heads up is. It is making the most of situations by making the right decisions. The fact that Sco have been running everything from everywhere does not constitute heads up: it means they play attacking rugby regardless.
Note the commentators picking up on Sco NOT playing the right (heads up again) rugby when down to 14.
By contrast, Fra do not run from everywhere but have (twice now) caught Sco with lazy running from a long kick.

Like Finn spotting the overlap and moving play that way for Scotland to score the first try? Which is where this absurd argument started

Except Scotland don't simply "run everything". But they have repeatedly been explicitly prevented from taking a quick throw a few times, while France have repeatedly been allowed to, even when Scotland players are right there.
Oh and did Scotland not play the "right rugby" last week with 14 players?

Heads-up rugby is simply playing what's in front of you, not sticking religiously to what the game plan demands. It doesn't mean always making the right decision; players can play heads-up rugby but still make the wrong call or make an error. It simply means the immediate situation dictates your actions, not the playbook.
