Boland towns will be black on Saturday morning if the All Blacks win. Can't drive without head lights through town.

RasNaber is still not sure of 15 and 12. It will be Willemse and AE chance to nail those jerseys.

The other positions its a juggle for backup to get in the match 23.

The All Blacks is the best measurement to finalize the team for round 1 vs Scotland.

RasNaber are 100% sure that Willie is the starting 15. They are also sure that Willemse is a bench player in major games.

+1

And there's no chance they'll take Le Roux off. They have Libbok at 10 ahead of Willemse, so they're not taking Libbok off. If Willemse comes on it'll be at 12, probably with De Allende moving to 13, that's what happened against Wales.

There’s no guarantee Libbok will get 80 mins at 10. Willemse could play 10 tomorrow . Or 12. Or 15. Or all of them.

That’s why he’s so special. Ask Sards.

With Libbok at 10 we don't really need Willie at fullback as dual playmaker. Different story with Handre at 10.

This. Sure, Manie gives us all headaches with his erratic place kicking, but he brings a lot on the attack.

The ABs took off like a house on fire but faded in the second half of the last match. It really is worth watching if you want to understand the 10 position. Also watch who was in position the majority of the match at first receiver. Watch the kick offs. We did not get a single one back as they were comfortably taken without any contesting which brought the ABs immediately onto attack and one of the reasons we defended so much. The ABs are miserly with the possession. They can run you back 40 metres easily. I am sure the brains trust will have looked at that. Kickoffs should be an opportunity to pin your opponents in their 22

So this is what the coaches see as our top side.

It was pretty much what Ryan said in that interview.

It feels a little underwhelming, but I can’t quite place why.

Probably Cane, and BB.

Retallick is missing and Jacobson feels weak on the blindside. I prefer Papalii to Cane, but won't happen unless Cane gets injured... would Retallick be on the bench if fit or starting with Barrett?

The All Blacks had a quiet middle period but came back strong in the last 15 minutes to score two tries to take the match away from SA... bit like the second match in SA last year where NZ took an early lead and SA came back before NZ went away again...

NZ have changed their style completely since Schmidt and Ryan took over. Gone are the Foster tactics of risky offloads and going wide early, to a more structured approach, very similar to Ireland where they are much more patient and hold onto the ball for long periods... though I think they can improve further.

Richie Mo'unga has cemented himself as the All Blacks first choice first-five and he and the team are reaping the rewards.

He's locked up the No.10 jersey ahead of Beauden Barrett, who's found his home as starting fullback.

The pair were used as dual playmakers at the 2019 World Cup, where the All Blacks were beaten in the semi-finals, and Mo'unga says having clearly defined roles has improved their performances in 2023.

"This is the first year in many years that we haven't had the issue or the debate around who's going to be playing what. It's nice to have that peace of mind.

"In 2019 we just wanted to do whatever was best for the team and it's exactly the same this year. It's just nice for both of us having clarity around our roles. For Baz (Barrett) too, he's just getting his role at 15 sorted. Being able to focus on our own specific jobs, that helps both of us."

As I've been saying...

What’s funny is that England might be looking to now do the dual pivot. Marcus Smith at 15.

Actually, I didn’t check the team sheet to see if it was this weekend …

Not so sure about that, if you listen to the interviewed players in both camps, they treasure the jersey and the honour to play every single test match. Being old rivals, it's just in their DNA. They'll go full tilt.
