I don't often agree with Ugo, but he's right.
"If it's not clear and obvious, why are we looking at it?"
Tier 2 (ignore Eng's ranking). Other way around and we would not be looking at it.
Rugby is a laughing stock.
I know, but England don't even need to win this, so what's the point in giving tier 2 more evidence for their grievances?
It's been there for so long, it's permanently ingrained (plus WR will be making its stance clear). I still cringe at Paddy O'Lyin's performance in '99 to cheat Fiji out of a win against France. At least O'Lyin belatedly admitted that he'd "lost the plot" (his own words) but only after he'd retired and it did not matter.

Agreed. Bullshit.
Come on fearless leader, hero boy and english rugby media darling show some leadership.
Clearly Steve hasn’t told him what to do if they are behind.

Farrell shit his trousers there.
He did sterling work to ensure that the half closed out without giving Samoa the chance to cause any more damage.
Leadership!

To repeat, 2 qualifiers from this pool is a farce. A proper seeding and nobody makes the 1/4s.

We happened upon some balance and have now lost it. He hasn't been selected on merit. We could have gone Mitchell, Ford, May, Tuilagi/Lawrence, Marchant, Arundell and Steward.

Once a pacy winger loses his pace, that's that.

Weird that in England we tend to wait too long to start pacy wingers and then hang on to them too long once they have lost their pace. New Zealand are good at playing wingers at their best and then dumping them.
Ugo - Farrell with the try saving tackle. Ford you prick

Great tackle, but lets be honest how as an outside back do you get ran down by Ford.

Said it before, but it's the NFL running back analogy. Flog the crap out of them for six or seven years and move on as soon as production drops even a bit.

Totally. The entire Eng U20 squad seemed to have taken behavioural lessons from him and Itoje. It's actually made worse by them not being very good.

Bizarre thing is that May had been dropped from the squad, they know he is done..... Then an injury to Watson and he's not only back in the squad but first choice winger.
Loads in that category though, it's a disgrace that the likes of Cole, Vunipola, Youngs, Care, Tuilagi etc. have been selected in a 2023 world cup squad. That's before you get to the non-existent form of Sinckler, Daly, and so many others.
