I'm sorry but your humour in this dark, seriously fucked up, cruel and sadistic period of our history, always reminded me of that.

But with added "fucking'ell has that little Britain sketch, about the disabled duo inspired actual, real life tory fucking policy this week".
Not the first time I’ve been called a Nazi tbf

But pls remember I am an economist , and you are just plain wrong on ‘Tories killed off all these jobs’ - and my family were in the mining & steel plant industries too so I have a tiny piece of skin in the game.

Plenty of other stuff avail to rightly bash Tories about, Disableds is deffo one of the topics that is fair game
I'm as anti-tory as you can get - but getting rid of mining was one of the best things any Govt could have done. The UK should never be relying on Primary Industries for employment - let alone sending workers down mines all their working lives.

There are pros and cons of course : when it occurred , we still used coal for power generation and steel, so binning scargill & co then import it all cheaply form countries that subsidise cheaply was a tad too early arguably.
Also, arguably generating power and steel should be seen as a core industry and a developed country should always have some domestic capacity , whether it’s nationalised or not .

IMHO Tories biggest problem for letting lame horses get shot, was that there was nowhere near enough done to replace it, and the sheer scale of useless twats who somehow insist on living in their little village despite the whole places reason for existence closing down, and being incapable of moving a few miles away for a better life.
Just imagine if Tories had said ‘right Boyos , mine shut , let’s open a nice wind turbine manufacturing plant because it’s bastard windy on the top of those slag heaps ‘

Yeah - Agreed. Nowhere near enough was done to invest in those areas that suffered from the failing of the old 'traditional' industries - not that they'd ever been able to sufficiently compensate for the volume of 'useless twats'. And, of course, some of the closures at that time, were politically motivated.

Now have to do "work related activity"....which is basically turn up at a certain time and place or get sanctioned..this is apparently about preparing me (she couldn't say this with a straight face btw ) for when the chronic crippling pain miraculously disappears.

Apparently Jesus is going to descend from heaven and work his magic on my back, have me running around like the ex leper in Life of Brian, any day now.

Guys they are paying employment contractors and recruitment agencies (tory, cough doners) hundreds of millions for this utter shite.

What is the best they can hope, aside from the mass humiliation and suicide of the sick?

No employer will touch us..

Last employer kept asking me "have you taken time off work in the last 5 years".

...yeah..about 5 years..
Don you have any on going medical conditions we should know about?

Yeah about 11....not including the psoriasis, which can be intolerable when it hits the soft tissue of my eyes, ears and nose.

They don't ask this because they are sympathetic and supportive.
They ask this to pretend to be nice and then to bin your ass ASAP.

Daughter in law is 5 years in to medical training. Got 3 months in GP now, post ophthalmology pre A and E.
80% of intake are ‘18-30 mental health’ patients. And this in peak respiratory season 😳

People actually still believe in the bedroom tax. The policy persisted with...even when it was actually illegal to move out of social housing during covid for a whole year (the stated goal of it, to get people to move to smaller houses) . Even when impossible...they still made people pay it.

People still believe in sanctions...even though it has been shown again and again to be completely self defeating and extremely cruel and even deadly, and of having zero impact. Turns out employers still hate the desperate.

People still believe in only paying for the first 2 kids...that has put child poverty through the ceiling and is storing up serious social problems for future generations.
People still believe in gutting social care, health care, police budgets, and on and on and in it goes..

I get it..when one key tory social policy after another is shown to be utterly disgusting, cruel, and developed by people with seemingly nothing but utter nhialistic self serving contempt for british society, or just so their doner mates can make a buck..this is just " it all going to plan".

Jeremy Hunt though..pretending like the past 13 years of austerity never happenned, ready to go again, afresh, re-invigorated. How bulldozed and fucked up do they actually want the people of this country to be?

Thatch deffo politically motivated to close down Scargill - unsure what Labour sort to gain from all their closures and post nationalisation job losses. Perhaps they knew some scabby welshies would still blame Tories ?

Meeting with my probabtion officer for the sick yesterday.
They really are trying to turn everything about me into a 40 minute meeting. The amount of paperwork and admin is (having worked for Social services) about the equivelent to a kid being registered into the care system, each meeting....but grimmer somehow.
People really can make a massive, exhausting beurocratic meal out of anything when they need to.

You would think they would drag things out..but they also abbreviate everything to make things quicker to say and natural...so a work capability assessment is a WCA, like it is the most natural, accepted and established thing in the world, not something so bastardised and cruel, and carried out by political hacks and sociopaths at this point...with zero regard for anything but their fucked up, desperate careers.
This really is all about them and their thing.
You are just forced to be there to see it.
Makes no difference to them how much pain I am in when I get there (lots and lots). How long I can stick it, or how much of their pointless bullshit I am good for.
My probabtion officer for my sickness is milking every second.
Oh and they love telling you things are vitally important. I must get a fit note, I must attend this, I must let them know if that, it is vitally important I sign my commitments as soon as I get home...I must blah blah....fucking christ just leave me alone will you, for god sakes.

If they are like this when I can't work, and am waiting for results of the WCA..so there is litterally nothing for them to do...god help me if the silly buggers decide I can do work.

We parted on great terms though..with me saying "think I am just going to go home and drink myself to death".

The baffling thing to me is why you can trot out pages of arguments and commentary on here and God knows where else daily but don't feel you can work on that basis.

Chums who are GPs have been heard to comment that some of their patients have been surprised to be told that being happy all the time is not a right, and being a bit fed up, bored or unhappy are not a mental health issues.

Meanwhile they can't get enough time to deal with people with serious health issues.

I'm not so sure, narcissists are much more likely to blame their nearest and dearest for their woes, rather than "the system".

It's more like paranoia. His life sucks, and it's all other people's fault.
