The worst thing is we’re going to have to agree with Gatland’s whining at the end of the game.

Dick Mo seems to have stepped up a gear in the last 15 minutes.

This game is becoming painful to watch. You feel for the Chiefs. Jesus.

Oh, and Richie Mo’unga is a wizard. I think, legally, he should be burned at the stake.

Cruden was being a bit naughty there preventing the quick throw-in

EDIT: was the Chiefs ball.

He's playing very well. His goal kicking is dubious today though.

Gives that as a knock on (which it was) but not the try. That was a shocking decision.

Given how tough the ref has been at the ruck, I hope you don't mind if I disagree with your reading of it.

👍 Excellent summary.

No need for mathematics for tomorrow's match. Blues simply need to win to keep their title hopes alive haha Title hopes. Indeed.

JMK was right that the Chiefs forwards wouldn't quite be up to it, and they weren't.

Oh well, well-played Saders. Hard luck, Chiefs. Not really as bad a team as their results suggest.

Aotearoa looks a very tight comp, think Chiefs are unlucky to be 0 from 6, they just seem to be very marginally weaker in almost all areas.

To be fair, we also all remember what it was like when Cruden/DMac/ALB were good and not just a tribute act of their former selves

Bit of a malaise affecting the Chiefs, and a touch of hard luck too! Is Gats a good fit? Their recruitment has obviously been poor! What else?

Last night we were work down and with 15 to go we were worn out. Losing a prop very early just put more pressure on.

The first 15 was pathetic - we kicked badly for their back three to run it at us from everywhere. The try at half time was a killer really - all that effort to blow it with another silly turnover.

2nd week in a row I’ve missed the game... last week it was work, this week I was in the Barossa Valley with Taranaki Snapper watching his club, Adelaide Uni win their first for the season among the vineyards. The womens’ team cleaned up as well.

Fucking excellent to get out and watch a live game complete with wives, kids, dogs and liniment on the breeze. Oh... beers too👍

I really felt for Lachlan Boshier. He was forcing these amazing turnovers and the Chiefs would stupidly gift the ball right back to the Crusaders.

The man is a marvel. The clear cut first choice AB 6 for this year.

Why do you think he's clearly first choice? I can't really say who I think is playing better out of Papali'i, Boshier, and Frizzell - they're all having big seasons.

Papalii is a 7. Frizell a 6, though I think Boshier has played 7? He’s been a 6 through Super Rugby Aotearoa.

I was envisioning Boshier at 6, Sotutu at 8 and Papalii at 7, with Frizell on the bench.

I was envisioning Savea and Cane being injured, just to make all the envisioning easier.

Papalii plays a lot like Boshier - although he's a better carrier imo - and if Cane is nailed on for 7 I can certainly see the ABs going for a quicker player at 6 even if they usually play 7. Point taken though.

With Boshier in such great form the reality is that Sam Cane isn't even the best 7 at the Chiefs, let alone across all of NZ. But then again, that shouldn't surprise us as he spent years as an All Black when he was only a bench loose forward for the Chiefs playing behind Tanerau Latimer. Sam Cane really has had a charmed life as an All Black.
