Though having said that, my new favourite sport is watching this guy walk across countries (climbing over hedges and wading through rivers and through dense, face ripping forests), in as much of a straight line as possible, and being chased by Welsh farmers etc.
It is litterally the greatest thing ever.
I've never considered trespassing as a sport, but there you go.

I've been trying to get in to baseball over the last few weeks, I thought I should like it. Must say I'm struggling a bit, seems very samey.
Maybe it's the American in me...but I see it like Cricket is to me, I did not grow up with it, I understand the rules but it is just boring to me. But baseball is what I watched growing up, and there are all the unwritten rules, shifts, stats, etc..that makes the whole sport great, but unless you know it, probably just seems like guys batting and some good catches here and there
The only cricket I'm interested in is basically whenever my national side (New Zealand) plays, otherwise I couldn't care less. Yet cricket is my favourite sport to watch, I'm far more invested in the fortunes of the Black Caps than I am the All Blacks.
Mind you, it's as much enjoyment to see your favourite cricket players succeed on an individual basis as it is the national team being successful. Watching Ross Taylor or Kane Williamson score a tonne in test match cricket can almost make up for a loss. The beauty of cricket is you can put it on in the background whilst you go about work, it's on all day, and you can quickly check the highlights to keep yourself updated whenever something happens.

Cricket is also unique in that you can enjoy the performance of the opponents even when your team loses (unless you're playing Australia)

Athletics including marathons.
Rugby.
American football now that I’m eventually into it.
Tennis.
Cricket used to be high on my list especially live, but it’s too difficult to get to watch it now.
And in the Winter Olympics I’m completely hooked on biathlons.

For me it is
Rugby
Football
Cricket (not as much as I used too, prefer to go to the stadium than watching on tv to make it a nice day out)
Handball (my danish roots)
Tennis
Volleyball
Watch the Olympics, both Summer and Winter and enjoy it, but do not tend to follow most those sports closely otherwise apart from reading results in news outlets.
Do watch American football and Basketball from time to time, mostly through the play off part of their seasons.
I generally enjoy sports in general, but for the life of me cannot get into watching Golf and motor sports
I'd never heard of that, but after watching a bit on YouTube - wtf?? Utterly mental!
I thought it was just going to be something with a bit of quirky-entertainment-factor at first, and to be fair, the first match I watched was Kyrgyzstan thrashing someone, and that was really all it was. But the game between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan was a close match and it was incredible (the fact the rank underdog Uzbekistani's won also helped) - just absolutely nuts, blokes smashing into each other, bowling each other over (horse and all), hauling each other off their horses as they fight over the carcass and falling into the concrete ring "goal" as they score. Pretty impressive watching them hanging off their horses and grabbing the 35kg goat carcass off the floor while riding at full tilt, particularly considering they are mostly pretty tiny blokes.
The pre-match involves the two sides galloping in-line, holding their national flags (think the Crusader's mascot x 10), in half-circles back towards each other, while bombastic Lord-of-the-Rings-esque battle music plays. We really need to implement something like it for teams to come out onto the rugby field - no horses, but just a screaming charge waving flags as battle standards, while battle music blares over the PA, as it sure as shit beats national anthems for getting the crowd amped up.
Is that the same as Buzkhashi?
Yeah, pretty much the same - I think there are slight rule differences in different countries, but kok boru and Buzkhashi can be used interchangeably as far as names go.

Has there ever been more drama and controversy squeezed into 1 second than the Shin v Heidemann epee semi in London 2012?
We have fencers of all ages at our club, so no reason why you couldn't get back into it if you wanted.
Shin was robbed in that match, surprising that the FIE would want to make a video highlighting such a spectacular f*ck up on the world stage
My memory of 2012 though was the Women's foil which had an all Italian podium

She was accused of being inordinately slow in starting the time immediately after the "en garde, allez" calls, though some have defended her.
Where she unaccountably fucked up was in resetting the time from "1" sec to "0" seconds remaining when she misunderstood the referee.
Although the time shown had been "1" sec, the time remaining (rightly or wrongly) before it passed back to "0" secs would probably have been about 0.2 secs. After the (very) young timekeeper's mistake, the time had to be re-set to 1 sec but that then left a FULL "1"sec remaining before the clock would return again to "0" secs.
Imagine asking your sis or daughter how her proud timekeeping stint at the Olympics had gone when she returned home a little later than expected

The Favero scoring boxes we use on a club night can show the time in fractions of a second when there's less than 10 seconds to go, pretty ridiculous that the ones used at the olympics where the margins are so minuscule couldnt do the same

My fave sports for playing:
Rugby
Football
Tennis
Volleyball
Kickboxing
These were the only ones I ever did to any degree at school, uni and into adulthood, and in reverse order of when I last played them.
Hockey would be next, loved it at school, never played since
