There are more than enough players abroad to field a team.I would rather see what Nienaber has to offer than wonder.
I am embarrassed about this.
Since when do we shirk our responsibility as RWC holders. As Springboks.

Its just trolling from the Saffers because you give them a hard time. It's sad to see so many of your countrymen boasting that SARU's decision to destroy the Rugby Championship is a good thing, or a necessary thing. Yesterday was a sad day in the history of Rugby, because it signalled the end of a era of co-operation in SH Rugby that had extended from 1996 to the present day. I also do not believe that the SARU fully realise the financial implications of their decision.
Desperation?Shanky’s mate wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 4:42 am The Argentinians aren’t afraid of playing after a lay off. They are in Australia training, right now.
What is it that they have that your Springboks don’t, do you think?
Balls?
Heart?
A manly stride?

A willingness to sustain injury to play with the big boys?
Money?
The Argentinians aren't the current Champions, though, so they would probably have less to lose in terms of defeats.
Do you know when they resumed playing rugby?
Rinkals wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 4:31 am Sards, do you seriously think that you can play top level professional immediately after a six months layoff without risking both injury and humiliation?
I doubt even AC does and I suspect that his motivation for calling us selfish is that it wouldn't worry him to see the Springboks sustain injuries, and he would love to see us humiliated.
Sards, have you ever played rugby?Sards wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 4:57 amRinkals wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 4:31 am Sards, do you seriously think that you can play top level professional immediately after a six months layoff without risking both injury and humiliation?

These boys have been keeping fit. If they haven't the problem is not world rugby but our ethos. I don't consider what injury I would get when playing for my nation. I consider the fact that I must give everything because of my pride. Remember Dan Carter continued playing with a broken bone

Why would Nienaber be afraid to take on the ABs. Thats the burning question I have.
Are you genuinely this dumb or are you just pretending to be?

NZR lost money on Super Rugby Aotearoa. The TV rights had already been sold, and they got less $ because the comp was shorter. than the original SR comp.
So you do actually desperately need Saffer TV money or you’re sunk? How sad.Carter's Choice wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 9:07 amNZR lost money on Super Rugby Aotearoa. The TV rights had already been sold, and they got less $ because the comp was shorter. than the original SR comp.
NZR makes 80% of its TV rights revenue from the Rugby Championship, which the SARU destroyed.
No, we simply wanted South Africa to fulfil their obligations. The SARU has always been a wretched organisation so I'm disappointed but not surprised by their dishonest. We all remember that they didn't let black players represent the Springboks until relatively recently. The SARU embraced Apartheid. What kind of disgusting organisation would do that?Sandstorm wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 9:09 amSo you do actually desperately need Saffer TV money or you’re sunk? Fucksake Sandy, wake up and smell the kakka here. All of the partner nations rely on the revenue from the RC. Could they not have gone down the Argentina route to prepare? Or even played internal matches to prepare? Australia is probably a safer environment for them to be in than back home...Blake wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 9:06 amI don’t think an South Africans or SARU are disagreeing with you. Our players need more local game time that is available to get match fit, and the timing of the proposed tournament poses a new challenge to get access to our European based players, finally ambiguity over travel restrictions imposed by our governments blundering Covid response adds yet another layer of unwanted distraction and complexity.
We should be ready to resume life as relatively normal next year. The time crunch was just insurmountable for us.
I’m disappointed, but understanding of the situation.
As right as you may be. We live in a vokked up country. We have totally incompetent leaders who only know how to steal. We have a country devided on racial politics in favor of the majority of one that blames the minority for everything to brainwash the majority. There is so much corruption going on that its in the press daily. The government is trying to take the land away from white people to give it to black people without compensation. Crime and theft is increasing. White people are excluded from employment opportunities.Shanky’s mate wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 9:37 amFucksake Sandy, wake up and smell the kakka here. Your Union relies just as much as ours do on that TV money and they’ve just shot it right out of their own boot, the fucking idiots. Everyone walks away hurting as a result and everyone else is going to be wary of trusting your lot in any sort of deal for years to come.
They tried....it was a complete failure. One side totally dominated the more fancied side because Rassie had put his faith in the most overrated flyhalf to ever become a RWC champion flyhalfGrandpa wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 11:52 amCould they not have gone down the Argentina route to prepare? Pride China. This is what its about. When you can hold your head up high and walk amongst other men with no shame. When you can say " we are world champions " and be prepared to fight till your last breath to defend that title..
A cup or badge is a material thing that means absolutely nothing if you don't have the heart to defend it.
We will forever be remembered as cowardly rather than champions
I'm unfortunately not that familiar with how Argentina responded to Covid and what restrictions were put in place by their government, so I can't comment.Grandpa wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 11:52 amCould they not have gone down the Argentina route to prepare? No one can fly from UK or France to Australia. Lockdowns are increasingly harsh here.
