Owen Farrell, nothing fancy and picks the right option 99% of the time at club level.
And Munster need a proper reason for people to hate us.

Pollard is a very good player, doesn’t have the flair to set the world alight or be a bona fide legend in years to come but would rate him as one of the best 10’s around right now

Also lets not forget he’s just won a world cup

Lovely Schmidt special at 2:56 by the Tahs. Inside pass off a forward standing off the ruck to an outside back on a late line.

:? His all round game is excellent AND he can run and pass and score tries like a midfielder. For 3-4 seasons he was the best hooker in the world and redefining the position. Marx on the other hand is all power plays and little substance. Maybe you're thinking of him?

We need Earl to start posting here to get the count up:

Basically the triggers to increase the count depend on the following:

1) Ireland selection. Players being left out due to a perceived Leinster bias is a major driver
2) Heineken Cup
3) International national matches and the provisional bickering should we lose

None of that has happened yet.

So just so I’m clear on what’s happening in the world of Irish rugby, my interpretation is that:

-preseason has now started
-the 19/20 season will be “finished” from August to October
-There will be an international break in October to November
-NTHCSBH 20/21 starts in December
-Some form of Pro 14 starts in December and finishes in May
-Lions tour June-July 2021

Is this what is likely to happen?

I'm sure we could pad this out if you really want to stay ahead of the Scots but we all know there's only going to be one winner once the rugby starts.

At a guess, 7 pages on the Scottish thread about Finn Russell?

It's a real pain for the likes of Baird and Kelleher who would have been much better placed for next season if they'd had a full season, this year. Probably looking at the summer tour for them to start staking a claim. Do we know where we're going?

Is this 6N + Japan and fiji in Nov going ahead? And will it replace 2021 6N? Could see Baird and Kelleher getting games against Italty and fiji and maybe a few bench appearances for Kelleher in the other games. Having them blooded will go a long way to freshening up the pack with potentially Leavy back. Pack could be something along the lines of

Healy
Cronin?
Furlong
Ryan
Henderson
Stander
Leavy
Doris

With Porter, Kelleher, killer, Baird and Conan on the bench.

There's nothing for us to talk about.
We're all fairly resigned to Ireland being a bit shit at the moment, so no excitement there.
On a provincial level about the only thing worth taking about is yet more Leinster guys signing for other provinces.

Not now, but that's not the time period that Bungle was discussing. Although I wouldn't say he redefined the position. Plenty of hookers have been mobile and effective in open play, Coles was just excellent at it at the top level for a few years.

Behave.

Cronin is not and never was a starting international hooker.

Joe never trusted him and Farrell certainly won't

To be fair, Mullet could have gracefully glided through a gap that size without having a finger laid on him. And there wasn't even any blocking shenanigans to make the gap that big - just shocking defence.

Well i put a question mark against it for a reason. Who would you have? We're not spoiled for choice and Kelleher is untested. Would happily swap out Cronin for Herring but neither are particularly good

Lot of those tries were a bit shit like that. Even just basic folding round the corner on your own tryline- attitude's way off.

You have to remember it's a bit like pre season. All rugby players will have had their longest gap ever between training sessions, let alone games.

I've quite enjoyed the games I've seen for that reason although things have already started to tighten up a bit in NZ.

Bored is fine and probably not going but Jake made such a mess of it that a lot have moved here and are staying. I'm sad enough to straddle both, some aren't.

F365 is being left to the collision point crowd.
