BTW, this is why Toulouse is not getting any RWC games.

Saints are so blunt. Earlier in the season they were producing some great moments in attack, even if they did go hand in hand with defensive fragility.

They are making the same mistake as Bristol: thinking the laws of the game will permit you to succeed without any physical presence.

In general you might be right but they've just spent about twenty minutes in possession in the Munster half and even a smidgeon of creativity would have seen them score.

Absolutely mad ending to the game. McGuigan maybe knocks the ball on in the act of scoring, Toulouse and Sale packs start fighting and a few Toulouse players not involved in the melee go from behind their own posts to score!

In fact it's nothing for anyone!

Gotta say, if Ramos is being done for the 'headbutt' then someone from Sale should be done for making contact with the eye area. There was clearly a hand being shoved over his eyes.

I was premature, hit submit before Sale restarted with their penalty.

Flat track bullies Sale getting bullied by Toulouse. Sale have nothing behind the pack and have no imagination or guile in the backs from 9 out.

It's a _bit_ harsh. Their preferred team probably includes their best backrower and not Jono Ross, plus Quirke at 9, Tuilagi in midfield, Roebuck in the back three, etc, and that's before you even mention George Ford. Accept they are brute force team more than most and certainly Sanderson doesn't seem to be a coach that can manage a team that doesn't have physical superiority.

Plus Toulouse are a ridiculously stacked squad tbh.

Bolded bit is something some of us have been questioning given the budget restrictions.

Quins really need to build some sort of lead they can defend because no idea why, but Racing have many starters on the bench (Chat, Nyakane, Sanconnie, Chouzenoux) and you'd think they will get better with that lot on.

Comms mentioned that Chat is due to illness during the week, presumably the others are punished for last week?

True and that's on top of him muddling players's names with greater frequency than one should when being paid not to plus generally rubbish punditry. Needs to be put out to pasture really.

Ref made a right pigs ear at the end there, he blew for a knock-on but the ball is still live and Racing were all over him to get the turnover. If he holds on then it's a penalty.

To be fair, he blew the whistle long before anyone got near Allen, who stopped playing when it went.

Good win in tough conditions against a very big team.

Yes, blowing the whistle was a mistake. And Allen was screwed as all his teammates were in front of him. I don't think it would have changed the result but I think the ref knew he'd screwed up.
