Bimbo, if you have a point to make, make it.
Don't just shit the bed with a mindless focus on irrelevancies.
I made my point very clearly. Your idea that Trump wants a war for personal profit is silly.
Christ!
That isn't the point of the post.
Whether Trump can make a profit from war has no bearing on the point that I was making, but since you are determined to sidetrack the conversation over a complete irrelevancy it would not surprise me if he could even if, as you seem to be claiming, his sole avenue for revenue is Real Estate and I have been misinformed of his ventures into Airlines, Alcohol, Casinos, Meat and Higher Learning.

It's a long read so I'll just post the link but a great piece on the decline of the USA.
https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/p ... s-1038206/
On another note, I read yesterday that there isn't one US lawmaker in the Senate or Congress that says they are an atheist. The only recent chap who questioned religion got voted out at the next election. That's quite mad.
Since the 1970s, China has not once gone to war; the U.S. has not spent a day at peace. President Jimmy Carter recently noted that in its 242-year history, America has enjoyed only 16 years of peace, making it, as he wrote, “the most warlike nation in the history of the world.” Since 2001, the U.S. has spent over $6 trillion on military operations and war, money that might have been invested in the infrastructure of home. China, meanwhile, built its nation, pouring more cement every three years than America did in the entire 20th century.
UK not too far behind either.

None of that makes sense.
If he could make money out of it, surely that would be an added incentive for him.
It's really not that difficult to understand: I would have thought that would be obvious.
Your point that it wouldn't be possible for him to profit because he deals in Real Estate and has no other revenue streams seems unlikely, too.
In any case, this is a mindless argument going down a silly side-track which has zero bearing on my point which was that Sleepless' discussion about how dangerous Trump would be to World Peace bears examination.

interesting question ; here's another one ; who has created more instability globally leading directly and indirectly to civilian deaths ; Obama or Trump ? consider what he has done/not done in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Israel/Palestine, free pass to poison pen pal Putin, Kurds ; not to mention domestic terrorism
ps Obama doesn't get a pass either btw especially for standing by on the not so red line on Syria

The UAE - Israel deal in more significant than anything the previous regime managed in the region.
The withdrawal from Iraq was awful.
“We demand the withdrawal of the imperialist America”
“Withdrawal has created chaos”
....
Trumps an idiot, but actually hasn’t caused the deaths previous regimes have.
Domestic terrorism?

99% of what we've seen in USA in the last 4 years is more like domestic unrest than terrorism. Doesn't mean it's clever, because we saw less in the 8 years Obama had the conn.

Trump can hang his hat on the idea the DHS and FBI have been increasingly concerned about the rise of white supremacy as a domestic terrorist threat and wider societal ill but Trump told them to can those concerns and focus on those with a darker skin tone.

Totally irrelevant.
I made the point (which you have purposefully ignored) that it may be that Trump's very volatility might well be cause for some restraint from Xi and the CPP precisely because his unpredictable, erratic and irrational behaviour means that they cannot rely on a logical response to their divers land grabs.
My point was not about who was the more blood-thirsty and dangerous President, but about whether Trump would be inclined to exhaust all diplomatic avenues before embarking on a conflict, and I'm inclined to doubt that he would, particularly if his own self-interests were at stake.
You might be happy to concur with his own view that he is a very stable genius, but I'm afraid that I don't really regard him as such.

Obviously - because Biden is a socialist commie who wants to watch the cities burn and wants to kill suburban women via the medium of low income housing and police defunding.

Well, maybe not supporters, but people who think that he's better than what Biden would be.

In has latest interview on a North Carolinan TV station, WET-TV, Donald encouraged ALL North Carolinans to vote twice, once by mail, and once in person. His justification for this was that if the system works, it will prevent one of the votes from being counted.
Problem is in North Carolina (as with virtually everywhere in the US) voting twice is a criminal offence. When asked about it, William BARR told CNN that Trump was trying to make a point, and subsequently said he didn't know that voting twice in NC was illegal!
