That useless fucker, and every fucker hounding the RMWP can get fucked.
Only just watched the second half of the Blues game, and completely agree that Lewis Jones was shit (some of the box kicks and the general fannying around FFS  ), the kind of high pace game you're trying to play you'd be better off with the youngsters like Hill in the absence of the two Williams. However I think you got hurt more by the Munster savviness/ref's generous interpretation of what constitutes rolling away and supporting body weight. I counted a few pens where the player clearing out had his route to the ball impeded. Real momentum killers.

It's clever play, how much cheating at the breakdown you can get away with is part of the game. Same with the scrum. The ref is never going to get it all right, so get into the grey areas as much as possible.

Also, how fucking good is Jarrod Evans' footwork...guy makes yards he has no right to make - freakish talent ball in hand. The sooner he is back in the Wales squad the better. If he can just become a little more of a general and just a fraction less swashbuckling runner then he'll be incredible.

On that note, who are we bringing in for Saturday? I can imagine Pivac keeping faith in the main part with the disappointing team against France...but what does everyone want to see?

Dropped from the Wales squad because Sheedy is the new Phil Bennett

Jarrod would be my second pick after Anscombe, he can do everything a ten should be able to do to be a pro player, unlike patch and biggar. Halaholo probably should be in as well.

Teams up

Wales: Leigh Halfpenny; Liam Williams, Jonathan Davies, Owen Watkin, Josh Adams; Dan Biggar, Gareth Davies; Rhys Carre, Ryan Elias, Tomas Francis, Will Rowlands, Alun Wyn Jones, Shane Lewis-Hughes, Justin Tipuric, Taulupe Faletau.

Replacements: Sam Parry, Wyn Jones, Dillon Lewis, Cory Hill, James Davies, Lloyd Williams, Rhys Patchell, Nick Tompkins.

Well, we won't be scoring any tries.

You have to fear for Wainwright. SLH has the same engine, but is far bigger, he may get change out of converting to 8, he's got a good low centre of gravity, may work for him.

Interesting to see SLH and Lloyd both straight in, its almost like Hardy and Macleod were selected for no reason other than to get the turk representation up to maintain funding levels.

Nice big front 5. Wainwright is not quite at his best so can't complain about the switch to SLH - good problem to have with those two and Moriarty, or even Navidi, all options at 6.

Pleased to see Liam in but tempered by the fact he's on the wing - and that Rees-Zammit drops out of the squad. Also not that pleased about Tompkins being on the bench. Pack get a pasting from the French and the inside centre gets booted...would like to have seen that centre combination given another shot as I think it's the best one we'll field for the next couple of years.

Hopefully we can catch a ball this week, carry hard enough to get over a gainline and not lose yards in every tackle.

Macleod is crocked I thought? Hardy must have been shite in training. as he's gone down the pecking order instantly.

I honestly think Wales will beat Scotland with something to spare, Scotland still feel to me directionless from a coaching perspective, and rudderless from a Captaincy perspective.

That's got to be one of the biggest front 5s we've ever fielded no?

Wiki weights:

Francis: 135kg
Carre: 138kg
Elias: 112kg
AWJ: 122kg
Rowlands: 123kg

Possibly. 2 of the FR aren't 1st choice for their clubs

After watching the Saffas make very short work of England in the final, I'm immensely proud of Wales in the semi final. That certainly was a side of tough [injured, broken and hobbling] fuckers that... really, probably, should have won that game.

That fills me with confidence.

WTF does Watkin do to get selected? Is R-Z injured? Where's the saviour Sheedy?

Rees-Zammit has a shin issue apparently, but should be back for the other games according to Pivac.

Watkin is uninspiring - but he will make his tackles.

It's a sensible looking team for the conditions (big pack, solid midfield, Halfpenny behind), I reckon we'll get the W

I've been working away for six days and didn't get to see the match, but I did listen to a bit of it on the way to the first shift. Wales defence is still a shambles under Pivac, but Wales have been within a shout of a victory for each of the games they've lost so it's not all doom and gloom. I have Saturday off so will be able to watch the Scotland game and I'm looking forward to it. I just hope Wales manage to put in a good performance.

It's good to see that in Wales' hour of need, they've turned to a Rhondda boy to make it work. It's the wrong Rhondda Valley of course, but you can't have everything.

That was grim. Nothing in attack... Absolutely nothing. We kicked everything until the panicky last few minutes. World class wingers but we seem to want them only to field kicks. What the fuck are we trying to do? Conservative rugby without the cohesion necessary to make that work. Ball carriers frequently isolated. Dire.

I'd be prepared to give pivac more slack if we had any ambition. Where is the willingness to attack ball in hand? Seems to have completely disappeared...

It was terrible. Wales had scored 12 tries in the 6N before today, how they couldn't come up with a couple of tries today is beyond me.
