No he didn’t. Herschel lost the game in the 1st half with his terrible box kicks and his pedestrian service.

Dwebe was ok. So was Orie, Kitshoff and Malherbe.
Dyamani and the rest of the loosies were dreadful.

Halfbacks couldn’t get that lethal backline doing anything. Horrible tactics played right into Munster’s hands and they jumped at the chance.

Yes, disappointed in him. Lots of talent; but angry, brain dead and never offloads.

In the old days we’d accuse of him of being on the ‘roids.

Before his injury he looked like a champion. Since it looks like he is trying too hard to be what he was. Not working. Instead he is losing followers with his discipline. He is still young. But I think attrition is going to be his downfall

Well I must admit I thought Stormers had it in the bag when Manie got that try. He looked full of confidence.
However. Why Dobson has been sidelining De Wet to get Junkies stocks up is beyond me. Surely, Surely....you win the final using the best you have. Once again Junkies looked completely out of his depth. It filtered to the wings and probably spoilt Manies game too. Another strange selection was sidelining Blommetjies who has shown his maturity even in the CC side. Making that side end up being in contention for the quarter finals. Without him this weekend WP looked absolutely clueless in the backline. And on attack. Blommetjies has become exactly what his predecessor was .
I am always amused at coaching decisions that completely backfire. Dobson should have spent more time taking a hard look at Munster instead of trying to make Cape Town smile and appearing on every radio show he could. Rookie mistake. Going to bite him in the ass just like Leinster coaches are still extracting the lube. With Ginger gone he really needs to think forward now. Not going to be so easy next year.
Of course he can now focus on the CC in search of some silverware for the year. But that loss is going to hurt.
Capetown packed that stadium and backed his let's make Capetown smile campaign, there are very unhappy people.

Stomps loosies were ineffectual. They need a big bruiser in the 3.
Junkies was just so bad.

As a team and as a rugby match they / this was a fantastic advert for SA Rugby. The fans will be disappointed but will be back for more.

Kitshoff has no replacement as a prop from the average loosehead props in the current squad.

What has amazed me is the fall from grace of AH Venter.

I know he's been struggling with injuries for a while now, but was yesterday RGs 1st game back? I watched him closely and he was kinda gun shy. Did a lot of soft work, but he wasn't the rampaging savage he usually is.

Dweba is growing on me. I like the FU attitude.

I think Kitshoff was a poor choice as skipper. All season. When things went wrong, he didn’t give the team a hair dryer speech.

Congratulations Munster, hard luck Stormers.

Some worrying performances for the Boks in that team, especially ay 9 and 10.

Let's hope Roos, Dweba and Herschell wind their necks in after that loss. Their behaviour leading up to and in the final was piss poor and not becoming of Springboks.

Apologies if this has been done before but I haven’t seen it. We are now two seasons in to having SA teams in the URC and I’m interested to hear how it is being perceived by SA fans and media? What is the general perception on league strengths and weaknesses, how have the fans and media taken to it, are there views on how the competition should develop in future etc.? Generally are you happy you made the move or do you regret it?

URC has done better than I expected. Comparing it to Super Rugby depends on which iteration/season, I would say what we've seen so far is at least comparable to the Super Rugby average. An immediate improvement would be to reduce/stop scheduling clashes when SA teams are playing. The whole competition would improve if the Welsh sides were stronger, but that is described as an unsolvable riddle.

Some teams solve the travel problem by not qualifying for the knockout rounds.

Nah he was very good. Fine set of testicals on him as well.

You must also recognise that in Ireland someone or something is either the best in the world, or is absolute dogshit and the world is about to end! There is never anything in between - so yes, probably a bit over the top, but considering we are crying out for the next great hope, it's understandable.

Sorry, my post was meant to be more a what have the Romans done for us thing than the start of a shitfight. I think if you looked through the game again you'd revise your statement. Probably not 9/10 but definitely 8.

Yes, he was trying too hard, which I guess is understandable given the circumstances. Didn't help that his back line was quite compromised by then as well.

They need to sort out the rubbish pool stage in the Heineken Cup though. It's only a decent competition from the QFs onwards.
