Looks like the URC is now without a broadcaster in the UK, which is a shame because being able to watch every game was a strong point for the league.
I wonder if they will launch URC TV in the UK as a replacement since I'm guessing most folk watching rugby on Viaplay had probably subscribed specifically for that anyway.

Not great for the league. I wonder if Sky Sports would pick them up on the cheap? They have enough channels and not enough quality programming (now that they are sharing PL games).robmatic wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 9:25 am https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/busin ... 235539452/

Ian Madigan for Ireland.
Hopefully it is Sky or Amazon and I can dump my £12 a month to Viaplay.Jim Lahey wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 9:32 amNot great for the league. I wonder if Sky Sports would pick them up on the cheap? Yip happy to move from Viaplay if I knew how. I still have it down as Premier Sports on my Excel financial tracker. No idea how to cancel it as none of my profiles and passwords seem to work. It just plays on my Sky Box.
If the rugby is gone, better try to remove it again.

Yeah, bit of a bugger. Hope URC.tv just expands into the UK. Can't rely on a broadcaster.robmatic wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 9:25 am https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/busin ... 235539452/

And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
No chance Sky takes it. They're not really interested in rugby. As for TNT, who knows - it'd make them the rugby channel really, with Premiership and URC. Did viaplay not also have Top14 rights in the UK?Sandstorm wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 9:53 amHopefully it is Sky or Amazon and I can dump my £12 a month to Viaplay.Jim Lahey wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 9:32 amNot great for the league. They are being quite cunty about this. They won't show me a "cancel subscription" button until after I've paid my final 12th month instalment. I'm not trying to get out of the contract, just make sure it doesn't roll over. The cunts.vball wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 10:14 am Yip happy to move from Viaplay if I knew how. I see Ospreys are having their home game against Sharks at the start of Nov in London, selling tickets at £30
Absolutely shameless attempt to plug Welsh finances using chicken runner base, and tacit acknowledgement their fans mean nothing or don't pitch anyway.

Well after my hissy fit it looks like ViaPlay are still showing the URC this year and keeping the monthly payment at £9.99. Well done them.Slick wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 3:30 pmThey are being quite cunty about this. They won't show me a "cancel subscription" button until after I've paid my final 12th month instalment. I've just had an e-mail from them confirming £129 for my annual payment is coming out shortly . I know that only works out 76p a month more but still irritating!Slick wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 3:41 pmWell after my hissy fit it looks like ViaPlay are still showing the URC this year and keeping the monthly payment at £9.99. The money owing to Flyt and the ownership of the stadium is with the amateur arm and should be resolved when the sale of the stadium goes through.Sards wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 1:31 pmThe biggest chunk goes to paying off Flyte.Chilli wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 7:27 amJa, lets hope that this brings more stability to the squad, and that they can repay Red Di$a by putting trophies into the cabinet.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 5:08 am

CJ is from Oakdale Agri School. It's in Riversdale about 80 km from George. Duhan van der Merwe and Libbok is from Outeniqua HS in George.Zig wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 4:04 amThat's where CJ Stander is from. George is the main town for SWD not EP Elephants.
Nah. Give the Stormers bragging rights. We did the same pre season last year. Beating the Stormers.
The actual URC is where it counts
