And we did it again this morning. That was absolutely daft batting when we have 3 days to go.

It's as if they think they have won already

Not enough runs scored Bro, think India will take it calm and collected to win this one ... can we blame Satner yet

Oh well, runs on the board, etc...
O'Rourke was not running very hard
That was unforgivable. When you can't bat yourself, you need to run as hard as humanly possible for your partner.

Just a wild guess but the coaching staff may point that out to him

Crawley has had a pretty decent time of things in the last couple of years, averaged 40 in a horror show tour of India, and can properly frighten teams. He's in no danger.

Pope is hugely frustrating but he's just been captaining the side, can't see him being moved on. He is the weak link, though.
Pope and Crawley can keep plodding along scoring the odd big score to keep their place and it will hold the team back.

Since he came back in and they became a pair, Duckett has done a lot of the heavy lifting in the opening partnership. Don't have the stats but he must be averaging a good 10 runs more than Crawley since they became a pair.

I don't think anyone can accuse Crawley of plodding along, tbh.

Duckett is an excellent player and has done very well, no question. Since his return to the side, he's scored 1980 runs, averaged 45 with 4 centuries and 11 50s, and had a strike rate of 88. Crawley in the same time period has scored 1484 runs at 38, 2 centuries and 10 50s at a strike rate of 81, in 7 fewer innings.

Duckett has been an unqualified success. Crawley a qualified one, but he averaged 53 against the Aussies and 40 against India - he's going nowhere.

Scotland beat the USA by 10 wickets. The USA promptly fired their coach. Another shitfight for power coming up in USA cricket.

Indian fans strangely quiet

Well guess Santner did okay on a turning wicket, well done to the lad.

Third test, a dead rubber now, is the Blackwash on

Bowled them out twice around tea on the 3rd day on a wicket designed to suit them, playing to a plan and not fluking it.

Results don't get much sweeter than this... unless we dick 'em in the next test as well. That would be bloody delicious.

Latham wins the toss and we will bat first on a pitch cricinfo reckons will turn a lot later in the game. Southee and Santner out (Santner with a side strain), Henry and Sodhi in. India missing Bumrah with a viral illness.

I haven't been able to get streams to work for ANYTHING lately.

This is a result pitch - midway through day 3 is my pick for an ending

Crappers are 92/3 at lunch. The balls that got Latham and Ravindra were bloody beautiful.
