Good game of rugby in Connacht
Seriously, it's like this every game for Racing. They are offing Thomas and Baubigny to stay within the cap. Should have dumped Russell. Gibert is a perfectly good option for Racing who plays the situation and game in front of him rather than random, slapstick stuff.
Second in 2 games for Reffel.fishfoodie wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 4:22 pm Excellent start to the 2nd half by Connacht, YC for Tigers, & immediately get the try
21 - 10
If Leicester sorted out their discipline they'd be a lot closerPaddington Bear wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 4:35 pm Good time to score for Leicester, ought to be a decent finish
Very often and then he'll have the odd excellent game.
They’ve also cocked up so many opportunities, but a good chance they’ll take this one now I thinkpetej wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 4:48 pm Commentary team on Connacht vs tigers trying very hard to pretend that tigers haven't rested both 1st choice half backs it really isn't that surprising that tigers have lacked control as the step down is significant.
Yeah, they've spannered up so many chances. Van poortvliet has added some tempo to Tigers play.Paddington Bear wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 4:54 pmThey’ve also cocked up so many opportunities, but a good chance they’ll take this one now I thinkpetej wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 4:48 pm Commentary team on Connacht vs tigers trying very hard to pretend that tigers haven't rested both 1st choice half backs it really isn't that surprising that tigers have lacked control as the step down is significant.
See above ^^^Paddington Bear wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:05 pm Hell of a try. Hell of a game. No idea why the crowd are booing and this carry on from the players is so poor, it was clearly a try.
Connacht tried to kill the game from 60 mins and let Leicester run at them, probably the inevitable outcome
Come on Torq, they clearly thought it was in touch, nothing to do with a marginal breakdown call. The crowd were jubilant because they thought he was in touch even though the foot was about 8 inches off the ground at the point of the replay they started cheeringTorquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:06 pmSee above ^^^Paddington Bear wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:05 pm Hell of a try. 100% should be a ban.Paddington Bear wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:07 pm Fuck off Aki, ought to cop a ban for that. Graceless one eyed pricks
I thought that, but it passed by with so little incident I thought I'd remembered the law wrong.Raggs wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:03 pm Just watching the Wasps game now. 20 minutes in, a Toulouse player kicks the ball back across the dead ball line whilst lying on the floor. The ref says it's all part of the motion, but the replay clearly shows he falls to the ground when trying to get it in his arms, and whilst on the ground, then lashes out with a foot. That's a penalty try and yellow card surely.
The kind of thing you see in lower league football. It was clear as day on the screen he wasn’t in touch.sockwithaticket wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:08 pm100% should be a ban.Paddington Bear wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:07 pm Fuck off Aki, ought to cop a ban for that. Graceless one eyed pricks
Yeah. Looks that way too and very poor behaviour by the players regardless.JM2K6 wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:08 pmCome on Torq, they clearly thought it was in touch, nothing to do with a marginal breakdown call. A player asked about it, and the ref said he thought it was OK. Considering the ball went dead, and it's a potential penalty try, I'd have thought it was worth a second look. The replay in my mind is pretty conclusive.sockwithaticket wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:09 pmI thought that, but it passed by with so little incident I thought I'd remembered the law wrong.Raggs wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:03 pm Just watching the Wasps game now. 20 minutes in, a Toulouse player kicks the ball back across the dead ball line whilst lying on the floor. Yes, that's how it looked to me. Also there was a charge-down by a Wasps player in Toulouse's right hand corner that looked like a goalkeeper's save to me. Maybe my eyes deceived me.Raggs wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:03 pm Just watching the Wasps game now. 20 minutes in, a Toulouse player kicks the ball back across the dead ball line whilst lying on the floor. it doesn't even matter if the ref's decision is right. Once they've made it players have no place going at them like that, particularly after the final whistle.Paddington Bear wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:10 pmThe kind of thing you see in lower league football. - Basically he contributed f**k all, never getting his team on the front foot and nothing with ball in hand and it's been like that in games recentlyÀ l’image de ses dernières sorties, le troisième ligne toulousain n’a pas eu le rendement habituel sur la pelouse du CBS Arena.
Players, particularly senior ones, have been allowed to carry on with the refs for a few seasons now. This is the inevitable end result and the refs have woken up to it too latesockwithaticket wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:15 pmit doesn't even matter if the ref's decision is right. What's the intended outcome there? Ref suddenly goes 'Oh you know what, actually I was mistaken and I'm now going to overturn the result'?
