Well we don't know what, if anything he said, but he initially sprinted up to the line celebrating - which was fine. But then after a few seconds he then ran forward towards two devastated English players and jumped up in the air in front of them celebrating directly in front of them, punching the air (the cuntish behaviour part). Then as he was wheeling away others (rightly) took exception to his behaviour!

Now honestly, did that really have to be spelled out to you?

If certain Saffas are oblivious to that difference then there isn't much hope for ye! Willie behaved like a cunt and you should all be embarrassed by him!
What exactly did Willie say....it looked like the English player pushed Willie away when he went to him. But not sure what the exact scenario was. We can't take one side and believe ourselves to be correct in defaming a player and a nation without details.

facts gentlemen....
Yeah, Willie was caught on the wit kant when the final whistle went but it's impossible to see what happened from the overhead cam. Not saying it's impossible that Willie was being a twat but it would be good to see some evidence rather than take the word of an "anyone but SA" poster on a rugby forum

I don't care what you think Saffas are. There is nothing you can say that can ruin my wonderful mood today. We're in the world cup final on Saturday, I couldn't be happier.

You, on the other hand, are coming across as angry and bitter, and if taking digs at Saffas makes you feel better then fill your boots pal.
Like many of my compatriots, I'm not bitter - we actually threw a few punches which wasn't expected given our preceding form.

To be clear, I'm pointing out I think sneering at defeated opposition is knacker behaviour. This doesn't seem to align with all of our safa contingents' views. I'm sure we'll all survive it.

Im not sure there is any difference between all the English whooping, backslapping and cheering when a Saffa made a mistake during the game and what LeRoux did after the game. During the game itself the Saffas didnt indulge in the same shit as the English did when an English guy made a mistake or they turned the ball over, they got on with the game as normal. I have a degree of sympathy with LeRoux who having had to endure all the English shithouse behaviour during the game took the opportunity to turn the tables and rub their noses into the ground at the end. If England want to behave the way they do during the game then they need to accept they will get it done to them when it doesn't go their way. Suck it up guys!
I've never been a fan of sledging at all (except maybe "what's the score lads?" when things kick off by the losing team) and strongly dislike the the Saracens whooping, but the final whistle is sacrosanct to me. You may have been kicking lumps out of each other for the last 80, but as soon as that whistle goes you shake hands and have a beer!

At the moment we have Curry accusing a Bongi of being racist, this has been widely reported in multiple news outlets, including international outlets with a wide reach. I've seen reports on Sky News about the accusation (butchering his name of course). In all of this no proof of anything has been found. I've been asked by random English people I know about it, making it one of the biggest stories of the RWC, something which penetrated well beyond rugby.

There's only two ways Bongi can be exonerated, a formal citing process, or an official statement from the England camp withdrawing the claim.

I'm sure we would all love to be accused of workplace racism, lots of innuendo but no proof, and then to potentially be left with no way of disproving the accusation.
Hey Os do you think Curry did anything wrong by reporting what he heard the the ref? There's no innuendo. He believes he heard it, he did exactly what he's supposed to do and reported it to the ref at the time, then got on with the game and dead batted questions after the match because it's in the hands of the officials now.

Can teams even cite players? I thought that hadn't been a thing for years, but maybe I'm wrong. I don't see why England should do any more than raise it on field and let the officials deal with it during and after the game.

This isn't the first time this has happened and it won't be the last time. One thing's for sure: the guy making the complaint isn't the problem.
It's fine him saying what he heard to the ref.

it was reported teams can make recommendations to the citing commissioner, England did not (World Rugby's site is hard to get useable information out of, so I have clue if that reporting was accurate). World Rugby has now released a statement saying they're looking into it.

It's happened before correct. The "spade" incident which turned out to be a "spide" incident. Not sure I buy the argument the guy making the accusation is a passive bystander to it all, if there's no proof and the balance of probabilities is there was no racism, quite a lot then becomes incumbent on the guy making the accusation to undo the reputational damage or failing that his team.

Confused by that final paragraph. At the very least it would require the process to be finished, not started, before Curry is required to do anything; if it turns out he did hear "white kant" which sounds identical to "white cunt" then I don't think it's incumbent on him to say anything - it was heard, after all. And if there's no way of proving one way or another what happened, then unless curry is lying why on earth would you expect him to say anything further?

They're all grown men ffs. Describing them as devastated is just sanctimonious bullshit.

Maybe Willie was just so pleased that Owen hadn't decapitated him with one of his notorious headshots.

I had to probe, in any fight you're going to take hits yourself, part of the fun.

We've chatted for many years JM. You cannot on the one hand say what Le Roux did was unique (no it's not really), and on the other hand admire NZ rugby (come on, you enjoy NZ Soup rugby), pretending like parts of that rugby culture don't exist.

What did I say in the original post? That Le Roux has "serious tappit energy", tappit means uncivilised, a chav would be a close match in the UK. Rugby isn't above this stuff, King Carlos was one of the greatest ever. The main thing I'll remember about him is that length of the field try and purposely scoring in the corner (then from memory converting the kick?!), then the "fuck you" to the Saders. If you cannot see how it's hilarious then I don't know.

Of course the England team (to make it explicit for Margins, the team) deserved something like that.

Would also be good of Bongi and Curry to shake hands and make amends.

Why do you keep referencing ancient in-game stuff to try and defend the absolute cunt behaviour on display?

I also never claimed it was unique. We've all seen it before. And it's always sparked a brawl because it's cunt behaviour. But hey, thanks for continuing to show why the Saffers are by some distance the worst rugby nation to engage with on and off the field.

Saffas - try not to be wankers on here (do whatever you like on your Bookface account) about this "incident". Totally unnecessary from Willie and we shouldn't try to defend the tool-bag.

He. Not They. One shithouse Saffa. You have about 13 on the pitch.

Willie did get over-excited, he's had a poor RWC and his emotions got the better of him.
I apologise to all 13 shithouse England players, Cole and May, plus all their lovely fans.

Disappointing response, I thought there might be another video to make things clearer. However on re-watching the clip Willie was being a bit of a twat , but he jumped some distance from the England players and then walked towards them before turning around and being shoved by another England player.

And of course lumping ALL South African players into the same group. I don't suppose you saw what Ox Nche was doing at the same time?
Where did I do that?

This has all come from the coordinated screeching from you lot at the slightest bit of criticism of le Roux's behaviour. We've had pages of counter attack from several Saffer posters including your absolutely moronic laughing at the idea that the players might be devastated and that it's particularly cuntish to gloat in their faces at the end of the game.

You're being a prick, just own it.

If he said something kantish I won't defend him. But I would prefer the facts. You even have one of our PomSaffers having a dig at Willie

That’s a bit cryptic and a Google hasn’t pointed me in the right direction. Care to furnish me with some context? I obviously missed some news.
https://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/rug ... 65744.html

He didn't play much as he was fairly shit. Don't think he even lasted the full year.
So an incident from 12 years ago? That's what you've got?

The article says they were both exonorated, so not 100% sure what your angle here is?

But, given the alleged insult, and the the fact that I don't know what the team culture wat Leinster was like, and what the attitudes of some of the players of that era was like, I'd say the accusation in that case sounds quite plausable...despite both players being cleared.

But the accusation from Curry against Bongi just doesn't feel right. It's hard to describe. I'm not saying he's lying, just that he likely misheard or misinterpreted what was being said, because the insult is so weird. I can completely buy that racist white player calls a black player a "baboon" as per the article you posted. Particularly 12 years ago. A fair bit has happened in that time though.

But a black player in South Africa is so unlikely to call a player a "white cunt"...it borders on unbelievable.

This would have been amusing if it were the Irish carrying on like this. They just have more class so that didn't happen

I also never claimed it was unique. We've all seen it before. And it's always sparked a brawl because it's cunt behaviour. But hey, thanks for continuing to show why the Saffers are by some distance the worst rugby nation to engage with on and off the field.
Why do I reference ancient in game stuff? I mean, you've read my posts before right?!

Of course it was poor sportsmanship. That's what makes it hilarious, what it was (fantastically over the top, Le Roux ran from so far back he started off in the Strand) and who it was done to (this England side, who are the masters of the over the top celebration). I'm not defending anything or trying to say it was something it wasn't, I'm just hitting the like button.

As for foreigners not liking us ... no one likes us we don't care. No one is supporting England as their second team anytime soon either. You would be better off embracing being the second most disliked side (Boks win that one too as you say), rather than trying to shame us or something.

After watching the final moments of the match I was thinking to myself that the English had given everything and if you were going into battle you would want those lads with you. They left nothing behind. I was actually feeling a bit of pride in them.

There is a bit of truth in what Ox said. We are a resilient nation. The English are living the PC version of our lives so have no clue. Rugby brings our nation together.

Going to feel very odd supporting New Zealand next week

The premiership has started again. Why not look out for young talent for 2027?
