That even sounds like an Onion article.

They're planning to relaunch as a parody site taking the shit out of people like Jones. A few more years and I'll have trouble following what's real anymore.
It's real.
The Onion buys rightwing conspiracy theory site Infowars with plans to make it ‘very funny, very stupid’ https://www.theguardian.com/media/2024/ ... re_btn_url

Maybe I'm not understanding what Infowars is but have they just paid money for a YouTube channel that has the name Infowars?
How does this help? Jones will just start up a different channel and his fan base will move over there.
I was looking at something yesterday somewhere that was calling for a sort of Left version of Joe Rogan's podcast. While I don't see this development as filling that role, I do think there's room in the media space in a lot of places for a sort of loud, opinionated and witty Left leaning commentary / broadcast. Talk back radio for hippies, if you like... a rallying point. A beacon, a flame for the moths.

Elon just posted this list of government waste and all I can think of is that episode of Seinfeld in which Kramer gets fired from a job he doesn't actually have by a man who points out to him that he exhibits no sign of understanding the industry he's in

By reports, you mean the words from his own mouth ?

🚨 Democratic Senators Jack Reed & Jeanne Shaheen are urging a probe into Elon Musk's alleged contacts with Russian officials, including Putin, over national security concerns. With Musk's SpaceX holding major Pentagon contracts, they demand the DOJ & Pentagon investigate if these ties warrant exclusion from future government projects. Musk denies recent talks with Putin, claiming his security clearance remains intact.

It should be irrelevant, because he's abusing a prescription drug, & that alone should prohibit him holding any position in Government, same as any other Joe who got caught with a random drug test.

Let's not pretend that these nominations are serious; they're mostly about finding where the buckle point is for the GOP.

A promise from the the Traitor is worth the square root of fuck all; but it's a useful exercise for him to find out where the line is for what the GOP will sign off on, & where they'll balk.

If they sign off on them all; then he can run for a 3rd, a 4th term & they'll do nothing, & say nothing.

If the GOP says Gaetz is unacceptable, but RFK Jr somehow is, or they negotiate between them; then he knows; or rather the scum working thru him know, where the lines are, & who in the GOP are the people they need to get onside on appointments etc.

This is still going to be a fucking awful 4 years for the US, & the rest of us.

The report on Gaetz has apparently been released to the committee members, so should leak any time now.

We know the traitor doesn't care about the whole, rape thing, or the taking drugs thing, because he did the same shit his entire life; but you'd think someone would have pointed out that while the Traitors moron sons might think Matt is a dude, everyone else in the GOP knows what a slim ball Matt is, & it's going to be really easy for the Dems to find enough on the GOP side to foil his appointment, so the Traitor is just burning up good will, & making himself look stupid & weak for even trying to appoint such a toxic cunt.

Basically, he will nominate a whole bunch of totally fucked-up candidates on the assumption that the Senate can't refuse all of them, and in reality can only refuse a handful, so that there will be some really shitty cabinet secretaries in place who will do serious damage.
