Donald Trump has suggested large numbers of Palestinians should leave Gaza to “just clean out” the whole strip, after ordering the US military to restart shipments of 2,000lb bombs to Israel.

The US president said he wanted Gaza residents to move to neighbouring nations, and that they could be displaced “temporarily or could be long-term”, after a phone call with Jordan’s King Abdullah on Saturday.
WTF, ethnic cleansing endorsed by the leader of the free world.

Then the West bank and after that, the pesky Arabs living within the original borders of Israel, then the Arabs inside whatever borders Israel decides to take for itself and then the people who look at you funny so best be safe and deport them too.

It's what Biden and co were tacitly supporting anyway. Trump is just uncouth enough to say it.

Bill being prepared to secure possibility for a third term for Trump. Carefully worded to stop Obama going for a third term.

Expelling / encouraging to leave people based on their religion , is pretty bigoted , immoral , inflammatory , probably illegal - will probably work about as successfully as the million Jews who were expelled (encouraged to leave ..) Egypt , Libya et al after the 1948 war.
Or the Christians ISIL booted out of Mosul.
Or North Cyprus 74-
Or Iran & their Bahans
Or Greeks getting the boot from Istanbul in the 50’s, and from various islands 50 years before that
Add in some faith based tax (amusingly called Jizzya) as well, and I can see where the Don is coming from tbh

Think it's something along the lines of only presidents that haven't already completed a full term. So anyone who's done two is out.

Well he wasn't wrong when he called Trump an idiot and reprehensible, arguably calling out Trump as akin to Hitler was going too far, but in fairness back then he wouldn't have known Musk was going to run for the job.

Pretty clearly she was a poor communicator, it’s been a big talking point from Democrats as to why they lost the election

Wow... we are totally into the Alternative Facts Universe now.

I'll be kind... I think Harris is an excellent communicator who struck a chord with her audience. I think the Democrats let her campaign down by maintaining the stale, out of touch vibe within the rest of the party not directly involved in her campaign. The Democrats at large being a difficult sell and an inability to cut through the noise and connect with a populist led movement already sucking deeply in the teat of the Kool Aid were more the issue rather than Harris being a poor communicator.

On top of that... Trump getting his ear scratched by a passing bullet and raising his fist to the sky in the aftermath was the pivotal point in that election. From there it was always going to be an uphill battle.

But sure, yeah... Harris is a poor communicator. Right on, dude.

If only there was some way of measuring whether she was an effective communicator when compared to an opponent. Perhaps people could be given a slip of paper, let’s call it a ballot, and then we can count up which one of them had more people choose them.

That ear bullet incident is a very important sliding doors moment in the world , a few mm would have made all the difference is as valid an assumption as the claims he did a WWF and bladed himself to show a bit of blood. It’s as murky as the jfk assassination and follow ups

Hmmm. That does somewhat ignore all the other things an election is based on, eg the big talking points and where the candidates stand, how much they are in sync with their own base, what baggage they bring.

Harris was the person who took over from a legendarily unpopular president and didn't distance herself from more of the same, didn't manage to address any of things that were hurting the base, was seen as an establishment pick, and offered absolutely jack shit to people wanting change that wasn't in the form of a Republican.

I would also argue that the last 12 years have shown that being a good personal communicator also does not matter in the USA compared to a) force of personality and b) effective campaign messaging, which is something a gigantic political machine handles (extremely badly, in this case!)

It is really interesting seeing the hot takes from the Dem pundit class, though. Most of them don't match reality in any sense and are just ways to avoid saying their preferred strategy was garbage. Anything to avoid a little self reflection or understanding of why so many people simply refused to vote for their candidate.

I was being facetious because it was a silly response and I don’t disagree with what you’re saying.

I stand by Harris being a poor communicator, she was being mocked for it throughout the campaign, her interventions consistently failed to change the narrative and her ability to defend Biden’s record whilst explaining what she’d do differently as President was a consistent weak spot of her campaign.

Ah, I see. I was focusing more on communication as delivery rather than content. The former is an area where it's hard to make the claim she's not better than the current and former president; the latter is partly a lack of experience and partly the iron grip of the appallingly shite Dem party machine. She definitely isn't quick on her feet, and I suppose that's somewhat expected from someone who is almost entirely a product of the Democrat establishment.

The whole thing is a fascinating insight into what happens when capital rules politics entirely.

That's a key takeaway for me... perhaps it's just too soon, too raw yet but the Democrats at large look to need a massive reset and a refresh. Their machine looks tired and out of touch. Pretty much exactly what the Trumpians have been trumpeting.

is this true? Just a twatter post.
Thousands of immigrants have simply disappeared and not turned up for work...thats the food pickers.

Eggs rose 37 percent this week in US shops as supply to retailers slumped...bread and vegetables are also rising as supply hubs realise the produce coming in is simply insufficient to meet demand...the shelves are emptying.
