And Chamberlain is in the Edinburgh squad but nowhere near the matchday squad this season.
I think the replacement 9 for Heriots would be Jed Gelderbloom, the son of Glenn Gelderbloom who played for Leicester a few years back.
That’s what I mean by it being slightly depressing, Chamberlain looked the best player but also looked nowhere near a pro player.
Looks like it was Gelderbloom. Thought he was a talent.
There is a rumour that Chamberlain is being dropped by Edinburgh at the end of the season.
Some time after Cockerill joined Edinburgh he told Mann he was the back rower he was most excited about coaching. Mann turned out to be made of chocolate. He probably only managed the equivalent of 4 games in three years before he was dropped.
Cockerill told him go off, spend time in Super 6 or the Championship, and if he could get his body sorted out come back in a year or two.
In his first game for Heriots he had a career threatening, and possibly life altering, head injury. He was told it was the end of his rugby career. But he recovered better than expected, and is back playing. Ironically, the break appears to have done him good in that his body has had time to recover fully. He is playing with a smile on his face as only a few months ago he thought he'd never be back on a rugby pitch.
Chamberlain will certainly be off as he's fourth choice and Savala will be the development 10.
Mann was really good for Heriots on Saturday.

They definitely seem to have high hopes for Savala. I'm guessing Jaco has another year to go on his contract as well.

I just watched the highlights and he makes the entire Southern Knights backline look like they are running in treacle for the first try. He is also an absolute unit. Still only 22 so could yet make it pro.

Let's just hope he has a decent season free from injury, he does look a player from what little I've seen of him.

Anyone know when the fixtures are finalised and if they'll be on BT Sport?
Probably tonight, and yes
If I was going to guess, I’d say that the Gloucester v Sarries game will be Sunday lunchtime as BT Sport quite often have their challenge cup game at that time, and then the two games with the French teams will be Saturday, leaving Edinburgh v Wasps on Friday night.
Well done!

Erm, I should probably point out that I wasn’t being facetious here! I searched yesterday and saw the game confirmed for the Friday night but now just seen it’s been confirmed for the Saturday lunch time!

By the looks of things if both our teams progress Edinburgh will be welcoming Glasgow for games on the weekends of the 14th and 21st of May, the first in the cup and the second in the league.

Yeah. I doubt they'll win in Lyon though tbh. Tough game that.

There's a good chance Lyon won't give a monkey's about that game, they are currently 7th in the league, top 6 go on to the play offs. The Top 14 is everything.
Top 8 qualifies for the big cup next season, they have four regular season games left, one is away to Brive, then they have Montpellier, Bordeaux and La Roche, currently 1, 2 and 3 in the league.
If Glasgow go full tilt and have a good day, they will win, imo

I think part of that might depend on how Glasgow go in South Africa. If they win those two games then they're pretty much nailed on for playoffs and Heineken Cup. If they lose them both they're in the same position as Lyon, and the URC might take priority.

Lyon went full noise Vs Worcester. I doubt they'd risk it in the last 16s only to go weaker in the QF. I guess the situation could change and they lose position in the top14 which forces their hand.

Lose those two and I don't think Glasgow have a realistic top 4 chance, but there is little danger of dropping out the top 8 I don't think. Scarlets (9th) are the only team that can catch them and they are 12 points behind with 3 to play.

The Welsh get a Heineken place, so it’s top seven. Lose both and there’s the potential for the Stormers, Bulls, Sharks, Munster and Edinburgh all either overtaking them or being right there with them. The table is very tight.

I thought was changed a couple of years ago taking away the automatic right to get into the Champions Cup for a team in separate countries.

Well, it's effectively been dropped for us and the Italians, but the new format of URC effectively reinstates it for the Welsh, Irish and South Africans! The winner of each 'shield' gets a Euro place. Then the four next highest ranked teams in the overall table.

They don't get a place in the playoffs, that's just the top eight. But they get a Euro place.

That should be enough for the BP win. Excited to see Freddie the Flyer again, get him in open space and he is off, however it will be interesting to see his defence. Also good to see Kunavula back and playing and Crosbie although noted as injured isn't too far away from playing, we need them back to reinforce back row numbers plus youngsters will need a break sometime.

Could try a VPN on your phone? But equally might be as easy to see what other broadcasters have them, might be easier to try and use Stan or Rugbypass or something in the Netherlands than get round SkyGo geoblocking

Seriously, FFS. When I cancelled Sky Sports it was because I hardly ever watched it and I was sick of funding the EPL. Since then, the Lions tour, all of the Scotland football games and now the Scotland tour have all been o Sky.

Would like to see this go ahead
Scotland are in talks to play Chile prior to their three-match summer series against Argentina.
The plan has emerged as Scottish Rugby confirmed the final details for their games against the Pumas, which start on 2 July.
"No formal agreement has been reached at this stage," it said of the potential match in Chile.

It’s been rumoured for months, not sure what the delay in confirming is. Possibly the SRU are only willing if they can find a broadcast partner. I hope it’s not due to match fees.

With the URC announcing the final will be at the home of the highest ranked team at the end of the season, Glasgow have even more incentive to put some points on the board over the next few games.
Even though they’ve sent a B squad to SA, Leinster will likely finish top. It’s not out of the bounds of possibility that they don’t make the final though, so Glasgow really want to finish above ulster and Munster.

Now TV mate.
No contract, buy one month. Give you lots of half price offers and stuff when you cancel. I haven't had a sky sports subscription for a long time, but I had eight months of all the sky sports channels for £16 a month last year.
Given they'll have most of the summer internationals one month subscription really works
You can either cast it to your TV or do it on a firestick. Or your TV might have the Now app

RG= Argie = Argentina.
Summer Tour this year was confirmed today - 3 tests 2/9/16 July
Seriously, FFS. When I cancelled Sky Sports it was because I hardly ever watched it and I was sick of funding the EPL. Since then, the Lions tour, all of the Scotland football games and now the Scotland tour have all been o Sky.
Was just looking at this yesterday. I bought a one-day sub to watch one of the Lions tests last year. Currently you can get £20/month for 3 months, but my main concern is forgetting to cancel (the same reason I haven’t signed up for Apple TV, despite having at least 3 different ‘free for 3 months’ offers)

I set a reminder on my phone calendar for cancellations/renewals.

I set two different reminders on my iphone to cancel apple tv and neither worked. Wouldn't surprise me if the cheeky bastards deliberately made reminders to cancel their own services fail

Maybe just logistics being worked out. Flights/hotels, travel etc. URC and GP final the week before so working out who might be able to make the trip etc if players are involved there.
