It resulted in government owned para-statals that guaranteed employment to working class Afrikaners and also codified repressive measures against black South Africans - to prevent their ability to compete in the labour market against Afrikaners. It was a sort of anti-capitalist , Afrikaner socialism with racism. It led to a stagnant economy with high levels of government control and interference. Also repressive and oppressive societies, that would have been resented by most young, educated whites, including I’m pretty sure Elon. So, I genuinely don’t think Elon yearns for that particular system.
