A foot rasp. In 5 minutes my feet go from looking like the surface of the Namibian outback to, well, normal feet.

How much I enjoy a change of scenery. Usually travelling every week for work I find it exhausting but have fairly serious cabin fever. Not even talking about a holiday, just an hour or so in any direction.

I had to go to Reading last week and enjoyed driving around the bloody awful one-way system passed the hospital!

I mean I guess I had it coming when I said 'an hour in any direction', but if it could sneak between Reading and Slough that would be preferable.

1.) That most people are selfish fucking idiots with no ability to safely share space or even have the barest of common sense when it comes to passing people on pathways.
2.) My dog is an excellent social distancing enforcer.

The amount of times I'll be walking alone on a footpath and people will walk two abreast and not make any effort to make any space is astonishing. Where can I go?

I’m retired - used to be very busy before - volunteer gardening twice a week, concerts, lectures, Uni classes, etc. In the end it’s up to me but I hope I’ll have the get up and go to get back into it all.

This, very much!!! Particularly fat joggers who are already puffing and blowing
Had a family of four walking abreast on one path who didn't make an effort at all. Gave them both barrels, made no difference but I felt better

Amazing how few people actually thank you when you give them some extra space.

As much as I've always enjoyed nature, this period has given me a greater appreciation for all our garden birds. Still regularly muddle great and coal tits, though.

I dunno, I think I've found that most people are not selfish idiots but there is a decent minority that are. Some closer to home than is comfortable.

Re-discovered my love of service to others. Sandwich drives for kids on the Cape Flats. Delivering adult diapers and sanitary pads. Collecting donated produce from farms and delivering it to soup kitchens. Its been about the best thing to happen to me after years of being obsessed with my career and only caring about my family.

You know you have been paying attention when you can tell the difference between a Marsh Tit and a Willow Tit. Both, sadly, scarcer than they should be. All the tit family are entertaining little birds : it’s a real plus they are better appreciated and enjoyed
