Chiefs fully deserved the win but I reckon the Crusaders are a big improvement over last week.
Really? They were abysmal in the second 40, I thought.
Mistakes, knockons , getting man handled in scrum, line outs as well.
We played a lot tighter before moving the ball wide, something we did not do very well last week, our backrow was way better than last week against a very strong backrow, and there is no way we were manhandled in lineouts, though I'll give you the scrums.

Bravo, Chiefs! !
Doesn’t that compromise your chances of making final? Or are you just happy at who lost.
Two things:
1) I am an idiot who is not keeping an eye on the standings, or really paying attention to the details of how the competition plays out. Is there an Aotearoa final? And then a final vs an Aussie team?
2) The bolded bit.
Oh. Three things.
3) The Blues are crap again this season (Rubbish backs. No discipline.) and I may as well get use to rooting for other North Island teams.
Cheers. Yes. I've looked into it now. Super Rugby Aotearoa is it's own thing, then the Trans Tasman comp kicks off May 14. Simple really. I was thinking it was more complicated than it actually is.
EDIT: Which means as a Blues supporter I should have been backing the Sadists today. Yuck. Never going to happen.

Don’t worry I’d feel the same about the smelly North Island teams.
We square off next week.

This doesn't have all of the angles from the captain's referral at the end, but does rugby really want to review the mess that is the ruck? I feel like the TMO said "Stick with your onfield decision" because both parties were, technically, infringing (off feet in the latch/clear, hands in the ruck).
If it's more clear in other angles, someone on twitter mentioned something about a ruck or two back being more blatant. Someone else mentioned that if you're in the dying minutes and you still have a challenge left in a close match, you use it even on the most minute thing just in case. Surely we don't want this in the game after this trial?

Barrett had to specify which infringement.
He said hands ahead of ball.
But it wasn’t the case, and didn’t matter about other things at that point eg supporting own weight, use of hands after ruck formed, coming from offside, etc.
