Social distancing in the crowd rather than the cardboard cut outs of the NRL. Anyone know why the different approaches? Is it due to location?

Brumbie Steve is at this game I think.
The ARLC confirmed on Friday that from round eight teams can return to their traditional venues, starting with Melbourne's showdown with 2018 grand final opponents the Roosters at AAMI Park on July 2.

The Raiders will also be able to take their clash with the Dragons back to GIO Stadium the following day, with the ACT government approving a "pilot stadium program" for between 1000-2000 fans to attend games in July.

The Bulldogs-Rabbitohs clash is currently scheduled for Sunday, July 5 at Bankwest Stadium but may be able to draw a larger crowd as discussions around shifting the game to ANZ Stadium continue.

Powell has been very good. Rebels not using any of the many pens they have had.

All the Rebels backs have the wrong studs. Keep slipping on their bums.

I'm not really impressed with the ponies scum. They just gave away another one.

The hooker looks like one of those blokes who was a solid but not quite quick enough loosie, who thought shifting into 2 would advance the career, but can't scrum for shit.

It's meant to speed up play - the defenders are better off running it.

Did ASMO change the font - mine looks scratchy and is a bit difficult to read?

Yeah, it’s a bit rugby league for me. Give the attacking team a free kick (without scrum option, no quick go) on the 22 if you want to speed things up.
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?

Game over, Brumbies wake up and finally win it. Scrappy, but entertaining too.

Good to have back to back rugby on Saturday!

I even managed to see the Tamworth Worriers sneak a win against the Broncos 😂

I think they suffered their two worst defeats in history in consecutive weeks on their post Covid return.

Hahah yeah man. First time I have heard of the “Captains Challenge” rule. ( is it new? I don’t watch much league)

Imagine if we implemented this in our code 😂

Yeah, it's new. Don't hate but will not so much as sniffle if it gets dumped.

If the dickheads running RL in Straya truly wish to make the game more interesting, how about:
1 reinstating contested scrums
2 reinstating contestable play-the-balls
3 reinstating the duty on attacking and defending players to retire the same distance at the play-the-ball (5m or 10 m, don't care), and
4 clarifying that the onus is on ballcarriers to carry the ball securely (i.e. stripping before a tackle is complete is OK).

All of these were once features of the game and yes, it was more interesting.

It was great to get to the game but it was bloody cold. The work experience touchie was fucking terrible there were more not straight calls than you could poke a stick at. I was almost at ground level so it was difficult to see what was going wrong at the scrums. A few time it looked like the rebels prop was trying to scrum too low and lost footing but the penalty was going to the Rebels. I also thought the rebs were wheeling the scrum at the edges rather than through the middle but difficult to tell. Gardiner is an uber shit ref not assisted by similarly crap touchies.

I meant there should have been a number of not straight calls that weren't made.

FB still gets bloody cold, but at least you can't get wet. Best bet is to sit higher up, on the first tier.
