Taylor Hawkins the drummr for The Foo Fighters has passed he was just 50 year-old. The cause is currently unconfirmed, and the band are currently on tour in South America to do shows.
A very sad situation, and a loss to the music community he was arguably by many a better drummer than Dave.
RIP Man

This and Mark Lanegan have hit hard. Foo Fighters were the big band of my teenage years and one of the few things me and my sister agreed about.
A real fucking shame. Seemed a good bloke and has a young family. Really shit.

Awful, awful news. Such a great guy and drummer.
Hotel in Colombia makes me think I know what it is, but let's see what comes out.
Can't imagine the Foos without him.

I remember working in a music store and we had a live DVD of Alanis Morisette's Jagged Little Pill tour playing on loop.
There was a couple of scenes where she was playing drums with a little blonde guy improvising along side her. The chemistry between him and her led us staff to believe that she and him were a hot item.
Imagine my surprise when I saw a photo of the little blonde guy with the Foo Fighters a few months later.
Seemed like a cool guy and a pretty good rock drummer.
I'm a massive Dave Grohl fan - I can only imagine what he is going through losing his 'partner in crime' and 'spirit animal' on the back of losing Kurt all those years ago. Poor guy.
Awful news to wake up to.

Never really into the foo fighters.
Not very technical music or interesting to learn.
Grohl had absolutely no idea what the fuck he was doing, most of the time, and it was just monkey banging a banjo stuff, music theory wise.
I mean the drummer was hardly Chad wackerman or Terry Bozio.
Pretty looking guy though.
Blonde hair and white teeth, bouncy pup, airhead attitude, bit of queen, reflective glory.. winning combo.

Why can't people just use the term "died"? We're becoming more distanced from religion yet everyone talks like the dead are passing into another realm that isn't being cold and dead and um, rotting.

Yep, I'm also going up in smoke when the time comes.
And my potassium-rich ashes can be scattered on the nearest compost heap for all I care.
