You’ve shown it is possible to see past the lies and bluster of your leaders and hold them to account at the ballot box.
Totally agree if the votes go the Libs in Tory marginals then happy days.Glaston wrote: Sat May 21, 2022 4:51 pm A 1.2% drop in the ALP vote
A replication of that in the UK would be brilliant
Yep, great to see Scummy gone.Guy Smiley wrote: Sat May 21, 2022 5:04 pm This was a massive rejection of everything the Murdoch empire stood for.
One of the key election promises from Labor is a Federal Independent Commission Against Corruption, long overdue. NSW has had one operating for years, set up by the Libs targeting what they perceived as a state Labor party issue which has proven effective at rooting out the rot from both sides. Over 9 years of government, the Liberal National coalition have stacked boards and administrative panels with their mates, ex staff and ousted MPs. It’s been a systematic rorting of the entire nation and a serious threat to an ongoing viable democracy. Just last week saw an open letter from 31 retired, prominent judges outlining the threat and the need for an ICAC.Gumboot wrote: Sat May 21, 2022 5:19 pmYep, great to see Scummy gone.Guy Smiley wrote: Sat May 21, 2022 5:04 pm This was a massive rejection of everything the Murdoch empire stood for.![]()

I think it's some sort of puzzle where you have to insert words and punctuation for the sentence to make sense.Guy Smiley wrote: Sat May 21, 2022 10:08 pmSorry, could someone give me a translation of this please?EnergiseR2 wrote: Sat May 21, 2022 9:21 pm Jesus after how super covid the Aussies went with a right government imagine the state of them now
Bro, you're Irish...EnergiseR2 wrote: Sun May 22, 2022 8:18 am Thats because of how isolated you became from normal people over the last few years
Short-term, probably not. The issue hasn’t raised its head above the parapets for yonks and would likely be seen by many normal folk as a massive distraction.EnergiseR2 wrote: Sun May 22, 2022 9:04 amMichael O'Leary led us to the promised land Guy. Yep. The educated professional vote moving away from Tories to Lib Dems in the south of England is definitely something to look for.
It's a given really. I am shocked that Glaston actually agrees, it is nice to see that in the land of the blind the one eyed man is the Kingpetej wrote: Mon May 23, 2022 9:26 amYep.
