Yep, he's a knacker. Which is a real shame as he's so talented but it's hard to actually watch him or warm to him. That whole 'Special K' thing as the Oz Open just made my toes curl.
Murray's up against Isner, I'll admit I don't find either player easy on the eye but good to see Murray back after what he's been through - his injuries and surgeries have got my hips aching in sympathy. I would expect Murray's quality serve return to negate Isner's only real weapon.

I second that motion.
I can't watch Emma, she starts losing the minute I take an interest. I click off and she blazes. Annoying, but a sacrifice I can make for her to win.

Always shocked at the amount of empty seats at Wimbledon where ticket holders are away sampling the champagne and strawberries. The Australian Open had a great policy where they constantly allowed a certain amount of floating ticket holders in to fill these seats until the ticket holder returned and they got up and moved to another vacant seat.
They do, or at least did, have a resell policy where you posted your used tickets in a post box as you left and these were sold for a fiver at the gates from 5pm - so there is always a lag I guess.Blackmac wrote: ↑Wed Jun 29, 2022 6:01 pm Always shocked at the amount of empty seats at Wimbledon where ticket holders are away sampling the champagne and strawberries. As kids we used to buy ground tickets then stand by the postboxes and ask for the tickets as folk came to put them in. I saw semi finals every year for as long as looked young and cute enough

Easiest way to shut him up would be to just beat him.
So he's a cunt off the court as well as on it!Insane_Homer wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 7:02 pm Total cluster fuck of a car crash on now, cant stop watching.

The tennis player Nick Kyrgios is due to face a court in Australia after being charged with assaulting a former girlfriend.
The 27-year-old Australian, who reached the quarter-finals of Wimbledon on Monday, will appear in court in Canberra next month.
Australian Capital Territory policing confirmed on Tuesday that Kyrgios had been charged with assaulting his former girlfriend. The charge relates to an incident in Canberra last December.
He is a pretty revolting human being but is extraordinary to watch I was on Centre Court yesterday and some of his play was breathtakingly good. In the middle of a point he starts trying to hit it between his legs it’s bizarre but basically the crowd are behind him.
In the build up to the match, the BBC showed an interview with the twat moaning that Australia's past tennis greats weren't always very nice about him, and didn't give him the support he thought he deserved. Sadly no one gave the obvious answer which was that's because he's a cunt.
An unbelievably weak performance. Few will ever have a better chance to beat Joker but this retarded clown couldn't seem to concentrate on the game because he was upset at the body language of his support team in the stand.Lobby wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 3:52 pmIn the build up to the match, the BBC showed an interview with the twat moaning that Australia's past tennis greats weren't always very nice about him, and didn't give him the support he thought he deserved. I switched it off after Kyrgios lost the second set, I caught up on the Arg Sco game from last night instead.
I switched it off because he started bellowing at the people who were there supporting him.
He has been through a lot from what I can gather, depression, suicidal thoughts, self harming, drug and alcohol abuse, he is a guy that clearly needs help, he has an incredible set of tennis skills, but emotionally he very fragile.

He berated them throughout the match and I get that he feels the need to create a me against the world mindset to bring out his best but it was so obviously counterproductive.Tichtheid wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 5:56 pm I switched it off after Kyrgios lost the second set, I caught up on the Arg Sco game from last night instead.

With more poise I feel that he could have won that match.

Well, obviously I know nothing about him, but it seemed today that certainly a loss of focus when the heat really came on brought about his downfall.
He was superb in that first set, however I did think that he looked like he didn't give a monkey's on Novak's serve after he'd broken it, perhaps arrogantly thinking his own serve was a forgone conclusion.
To me the second set was all about mental toughness, Kyrios was showboating whilst Djokovic went to the well and found a toughness perhaps unparalleled in men's tennis, Fed has it too, the ability to bring out their very best performances under the greatest pressure.
Agreed. In many ways it reminded me of Jimmy Whites inability to win a world championship. He had all the flair and the talent but not the mental resilience that a Steve Davis or indeed Hendry had. The champions can just grind away.Tichtheid wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 8:34 pmHugo wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 7:45 pmHe berated them throughout the match and I get that he feels the need to create a me against the world mindset to bring out his best but it was so obviously counterproductive.Tichtheid wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 5:56 pm I switched it off after Kyrgios lost the second set, I caught up on the Arg Sco game from last night instead.

I like that Ronnie O'Sullivan, despite his demons is still able to stamp his genius on a sport...Hugo wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 8:40 pmAgreed. That maybe because until today Joker had never broken his serve!Tichtheid wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 8:34 pmHugo wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 7:45 pmHe berated them throughout the match and I get that he feels the need to create a me against the world mindset to bring out his best but it was so obviously counterproductive.Tichtheid wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 5:56 pm I switched it off after Kyrgios lost the second set, I caught up on the Arg Sco game from last night instead.

Aye, the commentary team mentioned that, but they hadn't played in a Grand Slam final before, anything previous goes out the window
