F/A diff is 28

So if
NZ win - it’s theirs
NZ lose within 7 - SA need winning BP and around 28+ lead
NZ lose outside 7 - SA need winning BP, or to win 21+

So it’s definitely not over.

Cheers Boet!. I still cant figure out why the All Blacks aren't on 10?

Surely I have a better chance getting pregnant then the Wallabies beating the mighty All Blacks.

BP for 3 tries or more than opponent, so only got it in Argentina

Springboks are going to smash them with their B team starters and then grind the Argies up with the bomb squad

Actually I think my analysis was wrong. One of those stupid rules.

Point 2/b suggests if equal on points ABs take it, since they beat the boks. For and against not a factor.
Position on the competition table shall be determined by competition points as set out above:

1. In the event of two or more teams being equal on competition points for any position on the competition table such position shall be determined by the team with the most wins in the series.

2. In the event of (a) above not providing a decision, the position on the competition table will be determined by the team with the most wins against the other team/s tied on the same points.

3. In the event of (b) above not providing a decision, the position on the competition table will be determined on the margin of points scored for and against in the series. The team with the highest margin of points scored for and against being considered as the winner.

ABs vs Wallabies kicks off at 21:45 NZT, not 22:45.

Times out by an hour. In Europe, but thought I’d adjusted for that.

If the ABs lose by more than 7 against the Aussies it will be a bigger upset than the SA/Japan 2015 RWC match.

True. If they win, it's the Crusaders players, if they lose its Foster and Cane.

Is there any point to Foster any more? Schmidt and Ryan seem to be doing ok?

They're clearly running the show behind the scenes now, but probably want to keep Foster around as the figurehead (and as their escape-goat if it goes pear-shaped again).

15/14/11 is
13/12 is
10/9 is
8/7/6 is
5/4 is
3/2/1 is

Bench is

So all in all, it's just the centre combo that is kak.

It's a bit of a weird team.

I'm glad to see Williams Libbok have a go, I think they could be amazing together if they click.

I thought it would an opportunity to give Willemse a run at 15 and give le Roux a rest.

I wouldn't have minded seeing Kleyn have another match.

Am doesn't really strike me as a bench player either. If you're not starting him, then you'd be better off with a utility player there.

Am being on the bench reminds me that South Africa chose to have Jaque Fourie on the bench against the Lions in 2009, with Jacobs starting ahead of him. Which might have made sense at the time but now looks like something an insane person might suggest.

Looking back, that is insane.

I guess they want to give Kriel a run, as he is probably as undercooked as the rest of our Japan-based players. But seems like a waste of a cap to me, Am still needs to find form and needs game time.

The thought of DDA and Jesse in the midfield depresses me. And you are absolutely right, Am needs more game time.

Maybe it's deliberate, to force Manie to run more with the ball and kick accurately rather than send it to die.

Poor wings playing outside that sorry partnership.

Surely the non playing squad members should be playing against the Bulls, Stormers, Cheetahs etc to get some game time.

It did not make any sense even back than. It was the stupidest and most blatantly biased selection there has ever been for the springboks. Still makes me angry. Glad it didnt backfire.

Point is, doesn't help to complain about Kriel getting game time at 13, if Am cannot play due to injury, we need our backup with a few games under the belt.
