I was talking about the new Irish national team shirt, not the troll/bait thing.EnergiseR2 wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 5:00 pmI don't understand the order of those wordsZig wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 4:59 pm The new shirt is designed never to be seen again.
There's an arrogance in thinking this team won't win the World Cup and that abomination won't haunt Irish rugby for generations.

No idea, just another one off the line of unbearable Irish commentators
I don't think they ever get it wrong. It's all deliberate. That kicking the ball out of the ruck at the end when Ita were already under adv for another ruck infringement was as plain a yellow as you'd ever see. Abysmal officiating.EnergiseR2 wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 9:09 pmYawn. Just yawn. I saw one occasion Ireland got the timing wrong. Interesting you only spot the stuff that the ref gets wrong in our favour and never the blatant stuff that goes against us. Probably because I only saw the very end of the game: I was watching the SA game and only switched when that was a done deal. And the fact remains that Ire are the biggest breakdown cheats in rugby.CM11 wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2023 7:38 pmInteresting you only spot the stuff that the ref gets wrong in our favour and never the blatant stuff that goes against us. Except every other fan in the world thinks Ire are the uber breakdown cheats whereas only the Irish protest otherwise. Given then that everyone else had everyone else to level that accusation at other than at the Irish................PornDog wrote: Mon Aug 07, 2023 9:43 am Ah, the old "I may not know what I'm talking about, but I just don't like those people" defence!
Nobody else, not even Ulster fans, are anywhere near as big a one eyed miserable whingeing cunt as you. And I feel confident that at least 80% of the rest of the bored would agree with me!Torquemada 1420 wrote: Mon Aug 07, 2023 11:29 amExcept every other fan in the world thinks Ire are the uber breakdown cheats whereas only the Irish protest otherwise. I stand by that 100% - especially the last sentence.PornDog wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2023 9:27 am The ruck is a fucking shambles across the entire sport. All teams are sealing off, hands in the ruck, in at the side all the fucking time. It's an absolute disgrace and World Rugby are entirely asleep at the wheel.
You only see the instances when green shirts are guilty of it though, because you are a miserable joyless one eyed cunt!
I hate supporting Torq, but he's right:Torquemada 1420 wrote: Mon Aug 07, 2023 11:29 amExcept every other fan in the world thinks Ire are the uber breakdown cheats whereas only the Irish protest otherwise. "Ireland are the biggest breakdown cheats in 2023."
1. I'm not disagreeing with you in regards the breakdown. And some of it is so easily made better: simply disallow anyone from pushing in a ruck without first properly binding with an opponent. It's how we took the "hit" out at the scrum. That would stop the exoceting at least.PornDog wrote: Mon Aug 07, 2023 12:31 pm I didn't say Ireland weren't the biggest breakdown cheats (though I do think that's most likely bollox), what I said was -
1. The ruck is a fucking mess, everyone cheats and most importantly is allowed to cheat
2. Torq only sees the instances when Ireland are at it because.....
3. Torq is a miserable one eyed cunt
4. the vast majority of the bored would agree that Torq is a miserable one eyed cunt!
I didn't bring it up with Torq because I have no doubt he didn't watch it, but you should have Sandstrom - go back and watch the URC final. If the match got into double figures for the rucks where somebody wasn't lying on top of the ball off their feet then I'd be amazed. It was fucking awful, by both sides equally. The European final wasn't much better. Everyone's fucking at it, not just Ireland!
No it isn't. You only have to glance at the breakdown to see Irish players cheating. It's endemic.CM11 wrote: Mon Aug 07, 2023 1:43 pm It's ridiculous to suggest we get away with stuff at the breakdown more than anyone else (on average).
Glad someone in Ireland is coming out and admitting it. You are one of the good ones, Jimmy.Jim Lahey wrote: Mon Aug 07, 2023 2:10 pm I see we are cheating again, getting Jonny a behind-closed-doors game this week against the Portuguese.
So much cheating right now. Rucking, Sexton, Leinster trying to claim a 5th HEC etc. etc.
I'm just hoping the lads give it a lash and nobody gets hurt.Sandstorm wrote: Mon Aug 07, 2023 2:14 pmGlad someone in Ireland is coming out and admitting it. I'm still hoping for a clean & fair quarter-final for Ireland.
So what's your timeframe for that?JM2K6 wrote: Mon Aug 07, 2023 2:05 pm Regardless of the truth of the matter, there's no way this is a "NZ used to get it, now we're getting it because we're number one" scenario. Ireland's approach to the breakdown and "success" has been a topic of much debate for a long time, well before Ireland got good.
This.
