Too close to call, expect it to be (from my pov) a nail biter.

Fiji favourites but losing their 10 will hurt. Still going with a narrow Fiji win, as Wales are gash.

Wales have been pretending they are crap, for the last year, so they will be severely underestimated..but actually they are awesome.
. I mean how can a team of professional Rugby players, who picked this as a career and trained from a very young age..with their one and only life...possible be so shite and inept? How is that even possible?
Wales needs opposition teams to underestimate them, games are won on slithers of luck and by extremely close margins.
It's only Wales.

Yup, the 10 was being hailed as the missing component in their step up. Such a shame.clydecloggie wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 8:39 am Fiji favourites but losing their 10 will hurt. Still going with a narrow Fiji win, as Wales are gash.

Wales are certainly in a period of transition but I will wager that Scotland won't even get out of their group.Slick wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 10:01 amYup, the 10 was being hailed as the missing component in their step up. Lets judge teams on how far they progress at the RWC.
Gashness is not even getting out of the group stages.

I just have a feeling Wales are going to grind out a win here. Unconvincing, potentially a bit of Tier 1 reffing, but nonetheless I suspect they’ll get the job done

It's a comfortable win for me. I don't think we are as bad as our results suggest given our somewhat colourful last year.Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 6:06 pm I just have a feeling Wales are going to grind out a win here. Ithink we may get a semi final.
Lose against Fiji and we are out and I am wholly wrong.
But can't balame the coach like other numpties, Gats will get the best out of the team.
It may be dull and boring but lokking at the team picked it's there to weather the storm and pick the pace up in the last 20.

I watched Squidge rugbys analysis on Scotland and it was really interesting, the way they attack and the myriad of options they have, off just one play.
It is litterally the height of laziness and fecklessness that other teams don't study and adopt this.
It's right there. Just f'king do it.

Oh I agree, but it's very unlikely. Bit daft to suggest if we don't get out of the group that includes the No.1 & 2 ranked team then we are gash and if Wales manage it against Fiji and Taranaki under 9 girls that's how it should be judged.
But you know this, it was just a crap attempt at trolling. Really crap.

If we think the ranking system is great let's see who is ranked higher after the RWC.Slick wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2023 8:02 amOh I agree, but it's very unlikely. For the record I think it's going to be Scotland but my gashness analogy is still valid.
I think Wales will qualify and Scotland have no chance at all.

This one looks a tough one to call.
Losing Muntz for the comp. will probably prove catastrophic for Fiji who have suffered forever for the want of a FH who could do any of the basics well (tactical kicking, dead ball kicks, distribution to frequently wonderful backs) as epitomised by Volavola who stole a living masquerading as a rugby player.
You'd think the Fijians will be far better suited to the heat. Especially given the geriatric nature of the Welsh team. But Fiji's fitness and conditioning has always been suspect at a minimum whereas Wal are the polar opposite.
This looks like a prime candidate for the benches deciding the outcome and Fiji look a shade stronger there with the likes of Botia (IMHO should have started for his turnover capabilities alone) and Tuisova.
All or nothing game for both sides because Aus look like they are taking top spot.

Lets see what happens, I for one want to see a tugid game with Wales scraping home by a last minute drop goal.Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 7:50 am This one looks a tough one to call.

Rain forecast for Bordeaux now. That favours Wales.

Alfie should be nowhere near a gig like this.
Cock on the block. Wales to win today against the higher ranked favourites.
And I don't care if it's by 1 point or 5 drop goals with a terrible performance..
If Fiji win then so be it. Perhaps we can go halves with Scotland on the flight to the UK

Toughest match to call in the round (Eng was an upset). Muntz is going to prove the worst loss to any Fijian side in the history of the RWC.
