Yes congrats SA..what a team and possibly the hardest route to the cup in history
Yes, Fair cop that. Certainly puts to bed the easy route they got 4 years ago.

Muttonbird or Don or whatever he wants to call himself today is a serial equivocator and contrarian who's best ignored. He lives for this shit.

Nah, it wasn't a night for droppies.
Not sure which one you mean but we saw loads of attempted drop goals and even more dropped passes

Obviously Sam Cane didn’t take the Bongi jibe as well as Curry did.

Edit; that was a different card wasn’t it. Not sure can use it on Frizell.

SA have ground this out, admirable in its own way if poor for the sport.

Feel remarkably disappointed. Dull game

A one point cliff-hanger in a RWC Final and you're not entertained? Sad.
The ending was great, the preceding 75 minutes?
Take a seat and let someone else take over the ref bitching

Finally won a RWC the rest of you will consider worthy?
Odd comment given I have pretty much only been complimentary about the Boks.

Can't decide on my Player of the Day, but it probably wasn't Cane.

Have to go with Pieter-Steph du Tois again. Immense.

Pretty sure Ian Foster has the good grace to not blame this loss on Suzie's daughter or any other imaginary bullshit.

This must be a dream for Deon Fourie. Apart from the line out throwing to come in as a 37 year old, playing in nr2 and end up acaptaining a WC winning team in the final.

and he enjoyed every minute. Final minute scrum and he still had a huge smile on his face.

No, just no. We'll stand for many jibes but the notion England attacked against SA is absurd.

NZ can hold their heads high. 15 v 14 For so long and still just a point in it. Really impressive.

I was shitting myself. The NZ scrum and line-out was immense. Some homework to be done there, but for now... what a privilege.

Think we got a bit too smart for our own good at lineout time, tbh. All the movement and misdirection worked for a while, but once the Boks sussed it we were nullified.

It's as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror at once "South Africa has destroyed rugby" and were suddenly silenced. But I only feel happy. Thankyou Slick, for not letting us down and giving us this post.

Haven't rewatch the final I felt we left a few tries out there.

Still feel the Springboks should have won the 1987 WC.

I don't think the Springboks left any tries out there because they are wedded to not playing rugby.

And the Springboks could not possibly have won the 1987 RWC because they were ineligible coming from a state which practiced racial segregation, Apartheid.

Some things are bigger than rugby, PB.

I really struggle to take offshore All Blacks fans seriously. How on earth do you have the pulse of a rugby nation when you don't even bother yourself with living in that nation?

You need to pick another team.

I tried to tell you in a nice manner to stay humble before the final. Please do the same after the final. KLA nearly scored an breath taking try. It was as close as it get. So dont tell me we didnt try to play rugby. I am a Stormers supporter and love running rugby more then you can imagen. Any final is about grinding a win even from u7 level to Paarl Interschools. Pollard is born for this kind of rugby, he did it from his Paarl Gim days.

If you dont like it, you watch the wrong sport.

I've never appreciated South Africa rugby because I just don't believe they play a game which is appealing to watch. They scored one try in the knockout phases I think. That you are hanging your hat on a nearly try and claiming the Springboks left a lot of tries out there seems desperate and certainly not humble after the game.

Is the load shedding thing a racist jibe against people less fortunate than yourself?

If so, I certainly renounce our 13 year internet friendship.
