Lovely little tip on from Smith.
As good looking as that brunette with the nose ring was, I'm not sure we really needed a slo-mo zoom shot on her teeth.

Sadly, it’s getting better. You guys are very harsh.Hal Jordan wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 7:15 pmIt's the shock of having another pair of hands that can accurately pass.
Genuinely think you should be giving Borthwick a chance and support, reckon he might build something good

Not if he keeps picking Smith at full back.Slick wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 7:19 pmSadly, it’s getting better. You guys are very harsh.Hal Jordan wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 7:15 pmIt's the shock of having another pair of hands that can accurately pass.

1) Meet Boff
2) He is so obviously too lightweight to play 15 at this level

Because he's a fly half and has never played 15 for Quins, ever. Dropping back and running from the back in a totally different system is not full back play.

I don't understand why we're asking him to field the high balls. Both our wingers 1) have substantially more experience at fullback and 2) are significantly bigger. It really shouldn't be beyond our capabilities to have one of them fielding kicks on defence and have Smith playing from 15 on attack.Slick wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 7:26 pmYeah agree, 2 things from that

True, but then you have them attacking him wide. It’s the same as an issue that I have with a certain Scottish player, that even though he is an outstanding player who looks like he can play anywhere, it means so many compromises across the backline to accommodate his deficiencies that it’s not worth it.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 7:31 pmI don't understand why we're asking him to field the high balls. If Scabnose is going to continue playing Smith at FB he'll have a considerably shorter career, because he keeps getting steamrollered, & he's just going to get badly injured

I know there's a bit of 'end of term' about this game, but come on. Forward passes like that can't just be ignored.
Well, yeah. I wouldn't be playing him at 15 in the first place, but if he is there and you select two 15s either side of him, it's mad to have the midget going up for the high balls. I remember when Daly was first being played there despite his lack of positional sense and catching ability, we had May basically take over the high ball responsibilities for a couple of tests. Worked well enough.Slick wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 7:35 pmTrue, but then you have them attacking him wide.
