2 1/2 weeks away and the build up has been a little subdued, but squads starting to be announced today which should get things going.

I don't know if it was the awful WC that has knocked the stuffing out of everyone but at least we get our rugby comfort blanket back for a few weeks.

Anyway, final table will look like this:

Scotland
France
Ireland
England
Italy
Wales

I'd normally take great satisfaction in knocking Wales, but at the moment it feels like kicking a blind, deaf and lame puppy

How England got on was usually predicated by whether they had the Blues at home or away.

It doesn't matter so much now we're playing like a team of drunkards.

Hard to see past France as champs, probably with a slam.

Wales look very weak. Italy have England at home 1st up - may have their best chance, so far, of beating an England that is in transition and could struggle in the set piece.

France
Ireland
Scotland
England
Italy
Wales

Well, you can scrap LRZ from that list. I like this squad, primarily because it has far more different surnames than your usual Welsh squad. Wooden spoon fighters with Italy, most likely.

No Saffers on this thread, or no Saffers in the 6N?

With Herring injured and out of the tournament, Ireland will likely be compliant on the later.
Think the Scots have a bit of work to do on that front though.

I find that really weird - a lot of the Gloucester fans knew and were talking about it on Saturday. If this has come out of the blue to Gatland then it's another indication of how completely dysfunctional Welsh rugby is, but I don't believe it for a second. It might have been confirmed in the last few days, but I don't believe they knew nothing about it.

Fairly sure there was a team release that still included LRZ, suggesting they expected him.

I hope so too, it hasn't helped that he keeps having to switch between 10 and 12 at his club and same in the the national team. Word is he's heading for Toulon next year

About the move to NFL. or him leaving Gloucester at end of contract? Apols if you've mentioned it, lost track in thread.

I had heard that he was definitely not staying past this season, but I didn't expect him to leave - and to leave rugby completely - immediately.

Think Gloucester might have been quietly quite satisfied to let him go, as aside from a few notable run-ins he's not particularly shone, and he is on a relatively decent whack.

Well spotted
That must have been the squad given out by the WRU press office.
Evidently Gatland didn't know about LRZ 30 minutes before his press conference!!!

NFL.

Not certain if they were expecting him to leave immediately or the end of the season though.
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
