Italy looked decent against England - for a while. But, once England got their act together, they comfortably controlled the game and outscored Italy with a 20 point run of scores - without doing anything special. Ireland will have that sort of control (or better) from the outset - so it'll just be a steady stream of points in their favour.

Italy will do well to keep the deficit to under 30.

Italy likely to score a well-worked wonder try involving the entire team, but not much else.

If I were Quesada I would put out a second string team, given Ireland's knack for injuring our best players

It used to be that the one game in the 6N I wasn't worried about missing was Italy v England. Now, sadly, it's this one. Just no hope of an upset.

To be fair, it's the same with Scotland in Dublin, but at least I have some interest

Hate it when Italy are away to one of the better teams. It means that we functionally have just two matches that round.

Well I for one shall dutifully tune in thinking "this is it, this is our day!" and then turning off five minutes later when it turns out that it's not actually our day

And look on the bright side, they very helpfully put it on a Sunday so you don't have to watch

Looks like it'll be dry on Sunday, if you trust the forecast.

Well they do say your Captain should be the player first on your team sheet, & Doris fits that criteria.

Where's POM? I thought he was captain? Or have I missed something?

Big risk from Farrell starting an Ulsterman, and having a few on the bench.

Complacent.

Hard to get too up for this.

Obviously I want us to win in the end but an early try or 2 for the Italians would be good for the game as a spectacle.

I'd say he should get the match ball for that level of bravery.

Italy going through the numbers here.
Trouble is they're all odd numbers.

Probably, but even he is constantly warning Ireland “hands away” “roll away” “take a step”, fucking ping them, not warm them over and over

Varney and being charged down - an iconic duo.

Also love Pearce reffing the choke tackle properly

It's a real problem, garbisino can't kick, varney keeps getting charged down, hopefully page-relo is better?

I don’t get why they keep trying it - just run the ball
