Tahs ahead 23-22 after a really good first half.

Reece is red hot.

Seven lead changes in one half, must be close to some sort of record. Reece is insane

Tahs win it 43-40 in extra time.

Enjoyed that game.

Hell kiwias, I thought it was entertaining because of score changing, bit really thought the quality of play was pretty average.

I'm on nightshift this week so I may not catch up on this one, but one thing I'm surprised at is this different approach to the game from the 'Saders under Penney... they seem to be enjoying a more expressive, free attacking style of play as we saw in the win against the Chiefs and here with a game that saw 12 lead changes and a point a minute right into extra time. Perhaps it's the new blood with all the younger players getting time or perhaps it's Penney's plan but I'm pleasantly surprised.

Agree that the quality of play wasn't that flash, but maybe it was made to look more enjoyable by the dire standard of the curtain raiser, when the Reds seemed to be under the impression they could score points by kicking the ball out on the full. :???:

It's fun watching the promising young'uns like Hannah and Bell (lineout misfires excepted) running around.

Grace has been quite underwhelming so far, though. I know Razor loves him to bits, but on present form I can't see him justifying an ABs jersey this year.

I'm guessing Blackadder had a reasonable game then as your Crusader critical eye shifted the Grace?

Nothing spectacular, which is understandable given his lengthy absence.

Two quality tries from the Canes extend their lead.

Yep.

Canes ahead 28-7 at HT.

Perenara looks as sharp as he's been in years. I'd start him for the ABs ahead of Christie any day.

Chatting to my die-hard Canes fan brother today and we agree on the TJP call. I would not have Christie in the squad.

If the Drua could have hung on to the ball, they would have been in with a chance here

Canes win 38-15.

Not good to see Aumua being helped from the field in some pain.

Blues ahead 24-0 at HT. Their pack's been relentless, but the Brumbies are oddly off their game.

Blues dominate the hapless Brumbies 46-7. Wasn't expecting that sort of margin.

Beautiful pass from Hohepa to put Fihaki in the gap, leads to a try for Aumua (first for the Cru).

Did not look good. Drummond's passing has been strangely laboured tonight. Time for Hotham?

Yep, get him sniping down the blindside with Reece in support.

Kicking is excruciatingly poor, with no decent chasing at all.

Dang, this season just goes from bad to worse for the Saders. Hard to see them making the play-offs from here.
