. Thats kind of the issue though, that bench has a lot of guys that are on their way out

This Prendegast seems like a tidy wee player, but some of the praise from the commentators for even the most basic of passes etc is utterly ridiculous

So, the TMOs are criticised for being too involved in the game with multi phase reviews.

Based on the performances in this autumn series I think France and Scotland are the top 2 for the 6 Nations

This is a bit of a shit show, with added tension.

Ireland getting the rub of the green with all the missed errors and infringements.

If the score ends like this, Australia can feel hard done by.

My stream died and I'm missing the last 8 minutes of the game... but for most of the match, Ireland have had all the territory and most of the possession and been unable to capitalise. Australia have managed to turn their opportunities into points more often. Add in some very poor refereeing decisions favouring Ireland and I agree, the Wallabies will look back at this and feel they could have come away with more. Still not over yet and they're a chance to steal a win from a very unimpressive Ireland.

Not a game for the ages, way too many mistakes. If this is a new dawn for the Wallabies then it sort has been a still birth at best, (mixed metaphors are my super power - back off language Nazis). Losses to Scotland, outplayed, and Ireland, thankfully didn't sit through that, would indicate a lot of work still to be done.

I dunno mate, there is a good team there. The usual Aussie issues of scrums and not being tough enough (endemic across Australia) seem to be in the past and you will always produce top class backs. I reckon next year is going to be good for you

No-one's blaming the ref but it's fair to say he made a couple of very poor non decisions, the obvious one being a missed knock on that led to a try. The other one was the foot in touch missed.

As I mentioned after the knock on, where was the TMO? The game itself was frustrating with both teams poor overall despite some stand out individual efforts but resorting to accusations of ref blaming is a diversion from your own team's poor effort and signs of serious decline. They might have doid.

Like the Black Caps, too many false dawns to get me excited anymore. Rugby is on a huge decline in Australia, not seeing any attempts being made to arrest that decline in the face of increased pressure from the NRL, AFL, and lately the A League, that is really going gang busters this season (though some problems there as well which will bite the Wendy Ball supporters in the arse in due course).

I've been quite open that we've been in slow decline since our usual peak in between world cups beating NZ in NZ.

All I see is folks screeching about the ref favouring Ireland game after game and it gets kind of old, especially when the pattern is related at club level.
