I have taken the liberty of upgrading our entire hosting platform so we are on higher end servers, unlimited storage and much more bandwidth, hopefully this will mitigate any future performance issues.

Apologies for the site performance, had an influx of bots for some reason, i am trying to block them but its just like playing whack a mole, got to be a bit careful with wildcard IP bans as that can have some unwanted consequences if i get it wrong (Enzedders knows this :-) )

Can you block IP address from a whole country, like Ireland ?

Yes to that too, but even the most ardent window licker can work out how to use a VPN and get around that.

Odd, it doesn't do that for me, is this a thread you are following?

It seems to happen when you get a reply noticifcation in the thread and click that link in the notification.

Makes sense then, if you are asking to be notified of a reply it will naturally take you to the page where the reply is on

Not quite, I have no active subscription to the thread or any post therein. The notification is the standard one for someone quote replying to one of your posts.

for example, you quote replied to me on that thread on 2 May. When I click the notification it goes to page 531 of the thread regardless, there is no post by me or reply to me anywhere on page 531. Your post reply to me is on page 536.

I'm the same, and have been for yonks. Anytime I go into the tories thread, it takes me to the fifth from last page. Not subscribed to anything, only thread it happens on. Not a big deal, I'm assuming it's because the tories live in the past anyway.
