I find myself here from The Forum365

A chain of events introduced me to Planet Rugby Forum and now I find myself here. Is there a sub forum for football, and more importantly the mighty Brentford FC.
A place where escape goats go to play

This is essentially the Planet Rugby forum but with more bells and whistles. We won't be having sub-forums here.Galtsdrift wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2020 9:53 pm We welcomed the rugby crowd into our forum and I've been dipping my toes into it from early on. I then started reading the Planet Rugby site.
Nice to meet you TB63.
No, it's a member of 365 interested in a new forum. He made the point on 365 that NPR is a goner because this place, "will just become an ever decreasing bubble for those who migrated". This site has no profile and is dependent on ex-PR members and ex-PR members only for content.
WFT. The soccer guys haaaaaaaate us over there. Or they hate me anyway. Nonstop barrage of hostile belittlement. "They drink their own piss". They eat sperm". "Hooray Harrys" (?). "Posh school bum boofers" etc etc. Pointless even trying to interact with them.
John Galt is totally correct though. PR and NPR is full of aged conservatives. 365 is altogether a lot younger and more vital. Their picture of Rugby is through an English lens. Their picture of Rugby is of a Tory sport for the land owners and elites. And PR with its Opensides, EDFs, Mick Mannocks and Dumbots only reinforces that.
You are reading that wrong, Rocky. You have a following there already. It's something I could never do. Keep at it, being yourself and roll with the rough and the smooth.Dismal Pillock wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 8:46 amWFT. The soccer guys haaaaaaaate us over there. Or they hate me anyway. Site is only worthwhile as an ethnographic field trip study into what happens to the herdmind of pommy soccer fans when they take their impotent feral aggro from the terraces and pubs and jack it in to the realm of online anonymity. It's not pretty.
Rocky? Rocky Rockbottom? How the arse did you know that? I cant even remmebr what site thats from. Damn I join too many of these things....
You joined PR as Rocky Rockbottom. Don't worry. I'll be your manager, you just do the content.Dismal Pillock wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 9:17 am yeah if PR keeps reappearing then this NPR place does seem vaguely rooted. Let's just say Mutton writes a lot of muck.Tilly Orifice wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 9:56 amMick's an elite? I didn't know that. I do know he's an utter prick of a human being who trolled, for political purposes, the family of Nevin Spence one day after he died alongside his father and brother.Tilly Orifice wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 9:56 amMick's an elite? I think you are too sensitive. F365 has always been a place where you need a thick skin.Dismal Pillock wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 8:46 amWFT. The soccer guys haaaaaaaate us over there. Only the English uni rugby crowd. Believe it or not, they're only a subsection of rugby heads.Galtsdrift wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 11:38 amI think you are too sensitive. Anyways, thought you guys all played soggy biscuit as some sort of rite of passage.
I think you should.Galtsdrift wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 2:24 pm Is it worth joing the mothership version of this site or is it about to be culled
Yeah it's good fun. Lack of sports and an excess of stuff like Covid, Trump, Brexit etc has definitely had an effect on the mood of the place, though.Slick wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 2:35 pmI think you should.Galtsdrift wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 2:24 pm Is it worth joing the mothership version of this site or is it about to be culled
Nah, you're fine. You have just come across the King of stalkers who likes to drop the odd hint that "I know more than you think".Dismal Pillock wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 9:17 am yeah if PR keeps reappearing then this NPR place does seem vaguely rooted. The Prem's back in less than two weeks. We'll see if that lifts things any.Nols wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 4:17 pmYeah it's good fun. My father in law is ecstatic and I am so pleased to see that Fulham have made it back to EPL before he dies (he is terminally ill)Galtsdrift wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 11:59 pm This page still open on my browser. What a shit day. Fulham, shower of bastards.
Can't see us getting so close again...all the talent will be bought now. (won't name them because you mightn't care)
Weird final, no crowd and was surreal for a £300m game.

That's weird. I thought the whole point of forums was to get to know each other a bit.Enzedder wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 8:01 pmNah, you're fine. I think this had been directed at Enz's post immediately prior.Galtsdrift wrote: ↑Wed Aug 05, 2020 8:18 amI am realistic, they have played beyond my expectations to get to this stage. The club is small, it would be like Ireland winning the world cup if they went up. We have to be realistic.

Fulham have spent a number of years as an established premier league side. They have the money and support to have many more years either playing in it for fighting to get in it.FujiKiwi wrote: ↑Wed Aug 05, 2020 8:43 amI think this had been directed at Enz's post immediately prior.Galtsdrift wrote: ↑Wed Aug 05, 2020 8:18 amI am realistic, they have played beyond my expectations to get to this stage.
