It'll take a couple of games to blow the rust out I reckon (not that shit games are impossible even at the best of times). Start of the season can be pretty bad and that's usually with the benefit of a few warm up games which is understandably not the case here.

Dunno about London conditions, though I'm within 40 miles and things are significantly cooler than they have been, but it's the first proper run out in ages.
