will you slither back to PR or embrace the undiscovered country that is NPR?

I'll use both. Irish rugby thread will have more traffic on PR. NAMA thread is 50/50 between PR and NPR

I like here but think the poll needs a ‘Both’ option.
Edit: when I read the poll I see it says “primary forum”

It seemed like my account was mucked up, my password was changed, but I couldn't get a recovery email. I assume I was booted after saying unkind things (here, not even there).
So definitely here for me. Occassionally check PR, maybe once a week.

This is like getting in on Amazon at $7 a share back in 1998.
The smart money stays at NPR.

This is the unemployed/unemployable lad that flounced from PR a few years ago?

Yeah I know it's Refry, somehow he thinks that being a valleys boy holds no future and everyone else is to blame, well, shit me sideways, I'm a Llanelli boy, moved away and did ok, back in the homestead for the time being, doing guess what, a carer for my parents due to Covid. All us Taff's are not as downbeat...

I don't think PR is too bad. What is there will become normal after a while and you won't notice it.
Jake did most of the work on his own and he's never been trained up on that. I think it's a bloody good effort considering...

The "money" is our time.
I doubt that Jeff Bezos spent much of his time post '98 on Rugby Forums.

I’ve used PR imploding and going shit, to wean myself off daft forums. As I’m wfh now I finish my work quicker and then go play with the kids or watch telly or something away from a screen.
PR now looks weird and little activity
This place looks a bit too gappy on my phone and also seems extremely quiet on activity
Had a brief look at the f365 lifeboat , it’s the best looking forum to me, sadly even though it’s amusing in places, it’s way too lefty racist thick chav sexist even for me. The rugby subforum
There has like 1000 posts or something tiny.
The sum of all the above 3 , is miles down on what PR was a year or two ago.

I'd stay here but it feels like half the threads are just talking about PR and the other half are just rehashing opinions, arguments and discussions started on PR anyway.

Call it what you like but there’s a slow decay in most groups over time... people's interests or priorities change and all the rest of it so individuals either succumb to that, wither in some way and perish... or find a way to regenerate themselves.
We do these things. The PR group is that same... it’s been on the fade for years and a lot of the core group seem to be living in denial of that. There’s a constant rehashing of tired old themes, some of which have their place and continue to deliver humour and value while others are stale, old and boring. Any sort of exodus to a lifeboat such as this place, as welcome as it is will also have its carry over effect with that core group trying to hang onto the known, the familiar, the safe and easy.
This is what humans seem to do. The other thing we do is complain about it.

Can't disagree. In fact I've seen a few forums in much the same state.
I said some years ago that PRs staleness problem was to get a new influx of players you need to have accounts connected to social media to log-in easily.

When we get a reasonable rugby schedule back on we should see what the split is. There are definitely more poster on PR who really should have a break for a while. And not just for 1/2 an hour but perhaps a few weeks. Oh okay, I’ll say it. There are some real nutters who have found a home there.

I am a shallow man and so my reason for liking NPR is not what one might call profound.
Finally I get to use the icon-sized piccie of Crofty as my avatar; a piccie I sourced and shrank years ago but which still was unusable on PR.

Not surprising. I had to strip the shite out of the pixel count to get it with cooee of the PR limit, yet it still failed.
I might look on my other MBP for the piccie of Brett Sheehan with a monkey on his shoulder...
