Minirail a solution for mass transit?

Always thought a light rail system with minicars would be ideal for urban areas and a missed opportunity instead of looking at self driving cars. Get rid of cars and turn roads into railways. Instead of a driveway, you have a rail siding and key in where you want to go, then sit back and enjoy the r...

Re: Heart of darkness: Lucy Letby

Just finished reading it. It's a decent attempt at her defence but it leaves out a lot such as her nearly getting caught in the act. At about 9pm on 3 August 2015 a mother arrived on the neonatal unit with expressed breast milk for her five-day-old twin boys, known in court as Child E and Child F. ...

Staff had been raising concerns about her well before the investigation started. The insulin makes it clear some of those babies were definitely murdered and Letby was the only one with access. Either Letby murdered them (and a jury was happy with this verdict) or she has been framed for it (improba...

Zelenskyy has cancelled his foreign travel with the Russian advances near Kharkiv. Very concerning how Russia were able to build up troops there to get the jump on Ukraine.

Random historical thought - I wonder why Europeans were so slow to colonise sub-Saharan Africa? The Berlin conference took place in 1884 and 1885 - very late in the day when you consider how it was centuries earlier that European powers established colonies in the Americas. I mean the Aztecs were c...

A lot of untreated/undiagnosed mental health issues, a lot of substance abuse, a lot of people with no support networks, as well as a general lack of empathy in society.
