Proteas Goneeeeeeeeee.........

Or so is almost a possibility. I don't really understand the whole process of what is going on but it appears that by next week Friday 30 April the minister for sport will gazette that Cricket South Africa will be defunded and derecognised, thus paving the way for South African cricket to no longer ...

Re: 2021 Guinness PRO14 Rainbow Cup

Looks like the SA teams have been kicked out of Pro14

I don't know what those "forces outside rugby" are.

Its looking good.
Yes, but we are still on this so-called Red List that prevents us from traveling overseas.

Its annoying. Im applying for my UK spousal visa now that my EU passport doesn't quite work anymore.

Re: Saffa Domestic Cricket

Rumours are that Bavuma is going to take over the captaincy for the T20I and ODI teams from De Kock.

Then I suspect it'll be Markram for the test side.

Re: What's It Like To Live In Ireland

Yes. I just had a meeting with my cousin here in Cape Town who is a tax advisor. She'll be doing our financial emigration - so we are really looking forward to making the move. With hindsight we should never have made the move from the UK to South Africa though it was the right thing to do at the ti...

What's It Like To Live In Ireland

So in a nutshell, me and my wife lived in the UK between 1999 and 2010. My kids were born there (and why we are currently applying for their UK passports). My wife is South African but now holds a UK passport and myself and the kids have Dutch passports. My boss in South Africa has allowed me to wor...

Re: Lions 2021 to be played in the UK?

By implying the UK could host the matches, they are conveniently forgetting that a) the UK has the world's highest death rate and b) the UK now has over a 100000 deaths. South Africa isn't close to that. A miracle really considering how closely packed people live together in the townships. So let's ...

Re: 2020/21 Carling Currie Cup

Stonehouse made a good point. If a team can't make substitutes for positive tested players they should give the other team 5 points. The Cheetahs and Stormers the big losers. The log would look differently. No, he’s wrong. If a game is called off for Covid, you can’t blame the team with infected pl...

And it was during the early stages of the Dutch Republic that Abel Janszoon Tasman, a Dutch seafarer, explorer, and merchant, best known for his voyages of 1642 and 1644 in the service of the Dutch East India Company, was the first known European explorer to reach the islands of Van Diemen's Land, F...

Re: Goodbye Super Rugby, Hello PRO14

I won't miss the Saffers in Super Rugby as we virtually couldn't watch them anyway with their daft start times that only suited themselves. Hopefully TRC can continue and it may be even better if the Saffers are not "close acquaintances" any more Yep. I'd love to see a brand new more &quo...

And now we know NZR lied as well about the 12 December end date of the Rugby Championship.
