Re: The Official English Rugby Thread
Sleightholme is the Saints player I'm most excited about. He's got the higlights reel, but the most impressive thing about him is how he always makes the right decision and puts himself in the right place, he's so consistent . You don't get that with many young players.

Re: 6 nations 2021 Scrum down in the locked down
Spitting, honestly. England would probably have won that with a bit to spare if those two tries hadn't been given, despite playing like the usual group of brickheaded morons up front. Instead, no win, but another reason to cover up the coaching failings.

Re: The Official English Rugby Thread
England hamstrung by the fact that Youngs and Farrell won't (can't?) play more than two phases at a time. Before this match I wasn't sure what kind of player Lawrence is. It's 55 minutes in and I've still no clue.

Re: The Official English Rugby Thread
Same old really. No coherent strategy beyond chucking the ball around as fast as possible for the opening twenty, then flappy-armed peaheart defence for the rest of the match.

Re: The Official English Rugby Thread
Eh, Ealing. Another London club. Spreading the game.
We could make it back down to 12 teams if we just forced a couple of them to combine. Let's have the Ealing Saracens, and get rid of one of the West country clubs (Bath would be the obvious candidate because I don't like them very much). Job done.

Re: The Official English Rugby Thread
How long do we think Jones has left? I reckon he is getting to the "taken them as far as he can" stage. And then, who do we replace him with? Is Jake White available? Time's up with Eddie when we start losing more matches and the performances are no longer there either, I wouldn't touch J...

Re: The Official English Rugby Thread
'Tempo' is surely the most ironic nickname in the world for a referee with absolutely zero feel for the pace of the game.

Alex Mitchell has all the skills but he so consistently makes the wrong decision. Needs to become a better game manager if he's going to become an international.

Re: So, coronavirus...
It basically means the opposite of what most media outlets are presenting it as, i.e. it's more likely to be good news. Lots of people evidently have immunity to the disease, there's been no cases of anyone being infected twice despite massive testing prevalence, so that means that immunity isn't d...

Re: So, coronavirus...
Says who? Gotta link to this? From what I've read (which is only really New Scientist tbf) the science on this is still very unclear and may actually depend on the severity of the case and subsequent immune response I.e. asymptomatic cases may not have the same immune memory as cases illiciting a l...

Re: Shameless England desperate to poach another Kiwi youngster
Surely Eddie's learned his lesson by now, after some of the players we've been conned into taking by the kiwis. Brad Shields in particular was a great practical joke.

Re: Official English rugby Fred
Times says Genge, Ford, Tuilagi, Bateman and Eastmond are the holdouts. That would be a hammer blow.
Is there going to be any rugby left at the end of this?
