Re: Quitting the bottle
I posted a bit on the other place under a different name but thought I'd throw this in for the day that's in it.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Sorry to butt in but I'm coming to Dublin on my future son in laws stag next Saturday and I'm looking for advice on the best, cheapest and least problematic places to go drinking other than the usual haunts. We have a couple of things booked for the evening but looking for pubs during the day that ...

Re: Career Changes
I've worked a lot in IT / Finance so hopefully some of the following might be helpful:
1. You generally don't need a degree / masters initially in IT. Lots of people arrive with experience in different fields / certifications. We have people who used to be chefs, graphic artists, actors, scientists ...

Re: Former PR Lurkers Collective
1. Why we lurked and never posted? - Must have lurked on and off since the 2003 World Cup I think. I'd occasionally post - but I didn't have the time to get involved in day long discussions/arguments so it was much easier to dip in every few days, see what was the current outrage and then go back to ...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Complete noob here but want to register outrage over:
Lowe being dropped
Earls & Murray & O'Mahony still being picked - don't care about central contracts - there are better players in every position
Speaking of - where are Doak and Cooney?
And Frawley?
Larmour is lucky.
Good news:
Treadwell ...

Re: Quitting the bottle
Yeah, stopping at the moment with everything going on must be a right pain. I don't know if there is an actual medical reason, but I did feel that I caught a load of colds in the first few weeks after I gave up - I gave up on 31st January so was the same time of the year. I forced myself to go ...

Re: Quitting the bottle
Just wanted to post on this thread.
I gave up drinking 8 years ago after a series of incidents that were putting my health & marriage under a lot of stress.
At the time it seemed like my world was going to end as I couldn't understand how I could socialise or relax without a glass or bottle of ...
