Re: 2024 Springbokke

I have no problem with teams taking money from sponsors and plastering their logos on the jerseys. I just won't buy the jersey, but I'll happily support the sponsors. It's it's good enough for Formula 1, it's good enough for rugby. My issue is with naming rights. It's a stupid trend that we started....

Agree with Sardy, Sharks branding is the best. No change necessary. Clueless foreigners will have to use Google if they wish to know where the team is located, if they're smarter than an Aussie they will do so, if not they will spend 3 decades saying they don't know where the SA teams are from. :th...

The IPL cricket show the way for branding. Their SA success is unbelievable. Ja, no. I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that one. While the IPL has been undeniably successful, I think it has been in spite of branding and not because of it. The branding is, and always has been, terrible. I mean ...

Re: 2024 Springbokke

I agree about WP Stormers. I also don't know why the Stormers never capitalised on the iconic blue and white hoops for a jersey for a start. I've never really liked any of the recent Stormers jerseys, and the colours of the current one make it look like a school kit, or a swimming costume. When I s...

Just out of curiosity... Etzebeth's been a world-class lock for a number of years now, so where do Saffers rate him in the Springbok pantheon? Sasha Feinberg-Mngomezulu seems the most likely candidate at this stage. But he really needs to be starting a lot more games at 10, and the Stormers have too much depth in the backline.
