Re: The New Hobbies Thread
I went on a week long cheese making course. It was brilliant. I've been making mozzarella, feta, cream cheese and ricotta at home so far. I am building a cheese cave out of an old fridge. When that's done I plan to start doing the hard cheeses and moldy cheeses etc. I’d always thought about learnin...

Re: Hainault sword attack
There's a video on the Beeb of Police shouting at people to lock their doors as the dickhead climbs across garages and into residential gardens. Can't imagine what it would be like to hear that and being out in the garden with the kids, for example. Imagine being the one who tasered him. Only one c...

So where is Vennells? Has she spent the last few months hiding behind the sofa or is she out and about defending herself? She’s a pariah wherever she goes.

Re: Choose a coach and captain
McCaw is my captain... the ABs were closer to vulnerable when he wasn't on the field, he never engaged theatrics, played with hidden injuries and always led from the front letting actions speak louder. Post career, he's got on with his life without seeking attention including as a volunteer chopper...

Choose a coach and captain
As a player, who do you wish was your coach and captain?
Was lucky enough to be coached by Geech but would still pick Farrell. I think I would have run off a cliff for Jonno.

In my experience Celts in England tend to inculcate a very strong sense of identity in their offspring. I've never met more fervent Welsh supporters than those whose connection to soggy land beyond the Severn is a solitary grandparent. But they must know they are actually English. English accent, u...

Paterson was excellent btw. He really was, great decision making and not overwhelmed in the slightest. I was furious earlier when I found out we needed a full back at short notice as I had been out food shopping, but his performance makes me feel less guilty for not being there when Toonie needed me.

It looks like there are no further injury worries, Nel is out for Saturday but Sebastian is in full training. White is fit, the only doubt is over Darge, where we have a good few players at the same level. I'd start Horne regardless. Yep, his speed of service is exceptional and would open up Wales ...

Russell has had a particularly mixed game today it feels like. Shooting de Glanville in the face with a pass like that was poor. Cokanasiga has also been rubbish. Yep, I'm not seeing why so many rate him so highly. Big EQP with Islander heritage; I think there's been a lot of wishful thinking about...

Piers Morgan. Repulsive human. He's that bad, he even pisses me off from here. We have a similar plum on our premium talk radio spot in the country. Mike Hosking? Megacunt. At least Piers Morgan has the journalistic chops when he actually tries. Piers Morgan is an appalling human being, but age and...

Re: World's best ref retires
Wayne Barnes was a terrible ref. Always attracted controversy which is not what us ordinary punters want or what a ref should aspire to. Barnes aspired to controversy though. For some reason he felt controversy was good for the game. Barnes cunted the All Blacks at the beginning of his shithouse ca...

This is how I felt when we played Ireland last week - no expectation of victory, so no nerves. Very different this week. Next week? Just glad to be there, tbh. Same, didn't expect the ABs to fire against Ireland, but am now expecting it against whoever we are facing in the final  Same here d...

Re: Adventures in kids coaching
Fascinating comments in this. I lean strongly on 'keep it informal' until mid-teens. Kids will compete for every moment and keep the scores in their heads / talk about it in-game. Tracking results and awarding the winners is, at best, a hollow victory and more likely to see coaches exclude kids who...

Zander will be missing a good chunk of the world cup. What's his disciplinary record like? That was utterly braindead and thuggish. If he has any skeletons in the closet he could be goosed for a decent ban. He's had another red for the exact same thing in the 2021 6N. Yep, we all thought it was a W...
