Re: What to do with Beauden Barrett?
Reiko can go missing. Clarke has high workrate and makes meters. I think id prefer clarke

Re: Tri Nations Test Argentina v NZ ‘Nero Fiddles’ thread.
I think the ABs are going to be a bit rocky regardless of who we've got for a while yet. Bedding in new half-backs which need to be done is all well and good, but where's the quality vs. prime sneaky and TJ? We need new hookers, but where's the quality vs. prime Coles and Taylor? We're not ...

Re: Tri Nations Test Argentina v NZ ‘Nero Fiddles’ thread.
I'm quite glad TJ is leaving for a year. His passing is just not good enough. Perfect opportunity to bleed another 1-2 halfbacks.
I'm not entirely sold on our centre pairing. I'm a big fan of both Goodhue and ALB, but are they too similar? Incisiveness may be an issue with our midfield.

Re: Tri Nations Test Argentina v NZ ‘Nero Fiddles’ thread.
Mounga had a mixed night. He was the source of creativity in the game, it just did not all pan out, which is okay. I think keeping him in the saddle until the world cup will likely pay dividends. Once comfortable, this super rugby form will translate well.

Re: Tri Nations Test Argentina v NZ ‘Nero Fiddles’ thread.
J.Barrett should be nowhere near the 23. However, I wouldn't judge just based on those stats. It's not like the tight five/backrow/halfbacks/midfield fired to give wingers space/freedom to make meters. I suspect any winger would have pretty dismal stats in the last test

Re: Tri Nations: Wallabies vs All Blacks: MATCH THREAD: Sat 7th Nov
TLDR: what’s been said about the red cards?
IMO they were warranted. Player welfare is crucial. I think the main problem is that it doesn't have to destroy a game. E.g. A red card could be the player is taken off the game, but can be replaced by a bench player after 10 minutes, along with a ...

Re: What to do with Beauden Barrett?
Massive fan of Mounga. In saying that the problem lies with the tight five. Both Barrett and Mounga can look class in front of a dominating forward pack, and both can look lost when going backwards (England world cup game). Both Mounga and Barrett are fantastic options at 10, if only we can sort out ...

Re: FOSTER OUT
Would it better to bomb in the next couple of years to have foster fired and competent coach instated, or accept okay results for 4 years?

Re: Tri Nations: Wallabies vs All Blacks: MATCH THREAD: Sat 7th Nov
Why is nobody talking about how shit the ABs scrum looked?
I have never seen them that dominated by a Wallabies pack... Like... Ever!
Just wait until we come across quality opposition, then you will see some record backward speed. Our tight 5 needs a lot of work. We would seriously struggle ...

Re: Tri Nations: Wallabies vs All Blacks: MATCH THREAD: Sat 7th Nov
The rotation was completely unnecessary. We only have a few tests this year, start building some consistency with your xv. Biggest issue tonight (as has been for the last 4 years) is our inability to match an aggressive defense. Next is the lack of accuracy from 9 and 10 which negated the entire ...

Re: Bledisloe I: All Blacks vs Wallabies: MATCH THREAD: Oct 11
Is this really that far from the usual rubbish the all blacks serve up in game 1 of the year?
Negatives:
Reiko Ioane - the type of classless idiotic decision that should have him out of the side for a long while.
Inability to deal with a rush defence
The use of Jordie Barrett on the wing ...
