Hmm funny that. Once we've binged the whole series, I'll be allowed to watch interesting stuff again.Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 10:24 pmYep. Watch it with the Mrs, who loves it. I find it all a bit silly.
Each to their own I guess
This week I've been watching a 5-part police drama called Viewpoint. Not great but worth a watch, so I stayed with it and was looking forward to seeing the finale today...but I'll never know the outcome coz the lead actor Noel Clarke has just been accused of being a sleazebag by more than 20 women and ITV have pulled the last episode!
WTF

You can watch it online. They just pulled it from live broadcast.Gumboot wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 9:42 pm This week I've been watching a 5-part police drama called Viewpoint. I'll fire it in here, because we don't have an; "old & newly discovered TV series thread" ...
Thru one of those goggle search tangents; I discovered the TV series, "1990", from 1977, with the always excellent, Edward Woodward; & the equally excellent, & gorgeous, Barbara Kellerman.
Just finished Season 1; & If your like your SciFi dystopian, it's a diamond. No special effects; just brilliant writing & acting !
It's tag line was; "Nineteen Eighty-Four plus Six", & that's a spot on description; it takes Orwell, & adds the 70's level of experience of society & technology; & makes it much more credible.

Currently watching and enjoying Mare of Easttown and Mosquito Coast. They're good for brain in neutral mode.

Invincible on Amazon is every good.
Starstruck on Beeb is also very good. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p09djx02
Jupiter's Legacy is decent enough, so far better than expected.

I really enjoyed Fargo.
S4 is likely nothing to do with the others. They’re not really tied together.
But enjoy S1-3. Think I might re watch them after this.
There’s, I think a film too? Edit : yep dates back to 96.

Social media is a problem for series like this. The writer is too aware of speculation & fan theories so tries to write around them and retcon plot developments in. I thought the H reveal wasn't actually that bad. It was the elevator exit and the characters becoming parodies of themselves that was beyond awful.
Parodies of themselves! That's exactly it...Uncle fester wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 12:17 pmSocial media is a problem for series like this. I enjoyed it to start with, but thought the last episode was pretty underwhelming tbh. Hope it gets back on track this week...
